Hi, I’m Kate! I’m an INFJ and a traveller and lived all over the world from Brooklyn to Australia. I’ve driven across this incredible country four times and would do it again in a heartbeat. I’ve always been called to the wild scenery of the Pacific Northwest and, for now, I call Portland home. I believe in loving deeply and living simply. That plants the best decor and dogs are the best adventure partners. Rocks were meant to be climbed and dresses were meant to get dirty.

When I married my husband, it gave me amazing insight as a photographer and helped me understand what moments and experiences were truly important to couples. For you, I strive to be a calm presence in the noise, capturing the beautiful, emotional connections between you and your partner, all the small moments you won’t remember in the rush of the day. I want your photos to help you remember how it felt to be at your wedding, not just how it looked. I shoot through all the action, never putting my camera down. Your hair will be windswept, your dress might get dirty, and if you’re a crier, your makeup might smudge. I’m there to capture it all, because that’s the good stuff.

I can’t wait to hear your story!

I was born and raised in the PNW in a small little town named Anacortes, but have lived in Portland for the last 17 years ( ish ) and completely love it.

Although I’ve been shooting for over 6 years, I began seriously traveling to capture engagements, weddings and elopements in the beginning of 2017 and I haven’t looked back since. Travel has introduced me to so many opportunities to explore our world and to breach my comfort zone. Whether it’s hiking, camping, or jumping into a freezing cold lake/river/ocean, my goal in life is to chase adventure, to have fun, and to eat all the sour patch kids. One of my favorite things about my job is getting to interact and really get to know my clients, every time I meet a new couple for coffee or drinks, it’s as if I am meeting potential best friends, and this feeling is one of the best in the world. I like to do things a bit ( a lot ) differently too; I work with direction, with raw emotion and typically don’t do much, if any, posing. To me, this creates comfort with my clients and I, and on top of that, it’s way more fun, and hey, I like fun. My inspiration comes from my couples; listening to them tease each other as we hike up to a waterfall, or watching as a groom zips his new bride into her dress. These are the real moments I draw on and really find passion in capturing, and I would absolutely love to be a part of your adventure if you’re into having some fun together!

Hey there! If you’ve landed on this page, there’s a good chance we have a few things in common: the love for outdoors, exploring new places, and adventure.

I’m Sam, an adventure elopement and intimate wedding photographer based in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. That doesn’t limit me to those states, though. I travel all over the Western United States and beyond to photograph couples who have a sense of adventure. My mission is to empower you to have the wedding you want – whether that’s eloping to the Oregon Coast, or saying “I do” on the top of a mountain. I help foster those authentic moments by giving light direction and prompts, as well as making a fool out of myself to get you laughing, sometimes! I’m here to help by providing a custom elopement guide, location scouting, permits and have even been known to pick up bouquets from floral designers.

The quiet moments with fingertips caressing skin and the boisterous laughter where your eyes crinkle… I want to capture all of these moments and all of the in-between. Every couple is different and I love being able to best show what your love looks like. What can I say? I’m a total sucker for love.

I’m Marcela and this is a little bit about me; I’m an extroverted introvert who prefers late nights to early mornings and can usually be found carrying a book / I collect books, vinyl records, and tattoos / Forever a Californian, I’ll most likely call you “dude” / My drinks of choice or matcha lattes and mezcal cocktails / One of my favorite activities is hiking outdoors with my pup Rupert / I could probably beat you at Mario Kart / I think that love is rad.
