Outdoor Wedding Venues in Oregon
The Griffin House on the Columbia River Gorge
One of our elopement vendors’ top picks when it comes to outdoor wedding venues is the Griffin House. This wedding venue is nestled in the heart of the Columbia River Gorge and a short drive away from Portland. If you’re planning a small wedding in Oregon, then this venue has the intimate homey feel you’ve been looking for. One of the best parts? You can stay overnight at the Griffin House!
One of our personal favorite outdoor wedding venues in Oregon is Camp Colton. This location has it all, an intimate getting-ready spot, forest views, a historic chapel and outdoor ceremony locations. This venue will make you feel like you stepped into a fairytale. Get ready to spend a night beneath the stars because there are even overnight accommodations after your small wedding ceremony.
Five Pine Lodge
A wedding venue in central Oregon is Five Pine Lodge. This is a romantic getaway perfect to celebrate your wedding with family and friends, and then sleep in together the morning after. There are multiple packages available, including an elopement package if you get inspired to just elope.
Dominio IV Winery
If you’re a couple who loves wine, then Dominio IV Winery in Carlton, OR may be the perfect small wedding venue for you. They just recently started offering their property to couples who are looking to plan a micro wedding. There are vineyards, cherry and filbert orchards, and a barn on property!
With an open space and views of Mt Hood and Mt. Adams, The Orchard is a secluded and scenic venue located only five minutes from downtown Hood River. We love this wedding venue because they offer event furniture in their rental price, so you can easily achieve that Pinterest vibe you’ve been eyeing.
Oregon Coast Wedding Venues
If you live in Oregon, then you may be familiar with the famous “glass house”. SeaWinds Estate has started to host intimate weddings and special events since 2020. The best part? You’ll get an amazing ceremony location overlooking the pacific ocean.
Crook Point gives you 2 miles of remote Oregon Coastline to appreciate. This is a gorgeous venue for a destination wedding in OR with family, and the oceanfront lodging is pretty romantic if you ask us! It’s important to mention that Crook Point has 8 homes and 6 venues to pick from, allowing you to personalize your small wedding experience.
Cannon Beach in OR is probably one of the most popular locations to visit and elope to! Why not opt to have your wedding at Surfsand Resort? This venue has a perfect location with views of Haystack Rock, Rcola State park, and the Pacific Ocean.
Portland Wedding Venues
Mt. Hood Organic Farms
You can still have a “wandering” vibe wedding in Portland. Trust us, there are plenty of options! Mt. Hood Organic Farms is a 200-acre park-like property, which allows you to explore ponds, trails, and orchards. Besides the beautiful surroundings, you can also opt for a fresh seasonal farm-to-table dinner for your small wedding here.
Leach Botanical Garden
Looking for a wedding venue in the middle of Portland? We got you covered. Leach Botanical Garden feels like a magical, secret garden in the middle of nowhere. It’s forested with a creek, gardens, and an aerial tree walk! This is a great spot for couples looking for a venue not too far from the city.
Close to downtown Portland, Hoyt Arboretum has multiple outdoor ceremony locations with scenic views. We personally love Redwood Deck (pictured above), an open wooden platform with views of redwoods and sequoias. Our other top pick ceremony locations here are Wedding Meadow and Stone Circle. We also love that all the rental proceeds support Hoyt Arboretum’s global tree collection and programs.
Bend Wedding Venues
Elk Lake Resort and Marina
Elk Lake Resort has some pretty amazing lake views. You also have the option of multiple lodging options here from glamping sites to deluxe homes. There’s even an event chef and onsite coordinator to help you organize your small wedding here.
Rock Springs Ranch
A hidden gem near Bend, OR. Rock Spring Ranch is a magical oasis with water views, greenery, and three ceremony sites to pick from. There are also romantic cabins you can rent for your accommodation.
Black Butte Ranch
Looking for a wedding ceremony with mountain views? Black Butte Ranch is a great venue for a small party. As of 2022, this venue is rebuilding its lodge, but they are still hosting weddings outdoors!
Forest Wedding Venues in Oregon
Highland Fields is a 20-acre retreat with plenty of activities and portrait spots for couples to enjoy from hiking trails within the forest, farm, apple orchards, and more. We love this wedding venue because not only is it perfect for any size wedding, but they give you the freedom to plan how you want. You can bring all your own vendors, or you can work with them with one of their package options!
Seven acres of paradise is what you’ll find at Lakeside Gardens. You’ll have it all from lake views, weeping willows, gardens, and a ceremony gazebo overlooking the lake. There’s a ceremony and reception package, an intimate wedding package, and an elopement package at this location.
Bridal Veil Lakes
Overlooking Columbia River Gorge, Bridal Veil Lake is located near Portland and old-growth forests surround the lake. The area is private, so you can enjoy the lush greenery and gardens without worrying about other visitors. We also love how you can jump in a canoe and enjoy the sunset with your partner here. This spot is ideal for smaller groups and has a fairytale forest vibe.
Cheap Wedding Venues in Oregon
Silver Falls State Park
Silver Falls State Park offers both elopement and wedding packages, making it a more affordable venue option in OR. Packages begin at $594 for elopements and $1779 for more intimate weddings.
Cannon Beach is probably one of the most iconic elopement locations in Oregon. You can have your ceremony at Chapman Point, Haystack Rock, Silver Point, and Hug Point. Unless you’re planning to have a big wedding ceremony (more than 50 people), then you probably won’t need a special use permit. However, if you do use any chairs or other structures, then you will need a permit!
The Columbia River Gorge
We mentioned a lot of wedding venues with views of The Columbia River Gorge, but if you want to explore this location on your own, then you absolutely can! Special use permits are required if you invite more than 75 guests or if you plan on having any tents, chairs, and such. Some popular places for your small wedding here are Cape Horn Overlook and Horsetail Falls.
Champoeg State Heritage Area
Not many people think about this location for their wedding, but it certainly makes for an amazing and affordable wedding venue option in Oregon. Champoeg State Heritage Area has water, forest, fields, trails, and gorgeous backdrops for your wedding portraits. You can also rent the historical building on-site if you need to get ready.
Unique Wedding Venues in Oregon
If you’re on our site, we know you’re looking for something far from average. Silcox Hut is a small rustic mountain lodge located at 6,950 feet elevation on Mount Hood, OR! This is a pretty amazing spot to check out if you’re planning on adventuring together before or after your wedding ceremony. We also love the stone construction, making it the perfect place to host your intimate wedding.
Horning’s Hideout is the perfect intimate forest wedding venue during the evenings. Couples can enjoy the pond, forest, and open fields. You can even plan on playing some disc golf! This is a really good place for feeling like you’re in the middle of the forest, but still having access to amenities.
Mt Hood Skibowl
Mt Hood Skibowl is a beautiful spot to have your small wedding in Oregon. There’s a ski lift couples can ride to their ceremony site, then they can ride an alpine slide back down. You can be surrounded by wildflowers and scenic vistas during the summer, or have an intimate wedding with the snow-capped mountain peaks of Mt. Hood in the back.
At the moment, this location is not hosting winter weddings. Please check their website for the latest information and updates.
