Mt. Charleston Elopement Inspiration Session in Las Vegas, NV
Sunnie Heers and Guillermo Lopez are two photographers who, together, form Third Cactus Creative. They knew the instant they discovered this Mt. Charleston clearing that it was elopement location gold. It was not long before the pair returned for an inspiration shoot – their very first styled elopement.
“…the moment I saw it, I knew I had to bring a couple there,” Sunnie recalls. “It’s one of those places that takes your breath away for a moment, with the crisp air, the towering mountain, and the sun setting over the green trees.” The team spent the next six weeks organizing the shoot, a timeline that ensured every detail would be absolutely perfect. Sunnie styled Masha in the perfect two-piece boho dress and paired Manuel in brown ripped jeans and a gray jacket to achieve a “rustic, indie” look. “Our vision for this shoot was to have a winter fairytale theme,” she shares. “I wanted the mood to be very relaxed and serene… The whole feel turned out to be very romantic and bohemian!”

“Styled shoots are a lot of organization, from the outfits to the bouquets to the hair and makeup. My advice is to give yourself lots of time for planning. We set our shoot date six weeks out from when we first found Masha and Manuel. This gave us plenty of time to make sure all the details [were] perfect and that everything would get shipped and delivered in time, that way we were prepared and relaxed the day of the shoot.”
