Edgy Couples Session at Campbell Valley Regional Park, British Columbia | Chay & Shannon
In the time they have been together, Chay and Shannon have traveled to 40 countries, bought two homes, and started new careers in British Columbia, a transition that allows them to work side by side. This adventurous couple had recently celebrated their first wedding anniversary when they met photographer Stacie Carr for a styled shoot at Campbell Valley Regional Park. It was shortly after the first snowfall of the year, and Stacie envisioned “a subtle winter theme with red as the primary accent color… against the dormant winter plants.” She kept the couple active throughout the session, capturing them running, twirling, and laughing as the sun set.
“I love photographing married couples because they are through the honeymoon stage,” Stacie says. “They have been through some struggles and their love is so much stronger than the giddy early relationship phase. These two were electric and had such a deep love for one another that you could feel while you were photographing them.”

“THERE [ISN’T] A DOUBT IN MY MIND THAT I [FOUND] THE MAN OF MY DREAMS, SOMEONE WHO IS POSITIVE, MAKES ME FEEL LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF EVERY DAY, MAKES ME LAUGH, LOOKS FORWARD TO OUR FUTURE, SHARES THE SAME PRIORITIES AND WHO IS AS GOAL DRIVEN AS I AM. I KNEW IT BACK THEN AND I KNOW IT NOW…”
