About This Telluride All Day Adventure

“Their details were so beautiful, and Ashley’s dress was beyond stunning. There was also a unique setup in one of the bathrooms of the house where Ashley and Nick could get ready on either side of a divide, so of course we took photos there! Once all ready to go, they had their first look outside of the rental with the most stunning mountain backdrop. Then, they were ready to head over to a lake with their closest family for their ceremony. They read vows and exchanged rings, and celebrated their ‘I-dos’ with a champagne pop. After the ceremony, it was time to adventure at all of the amazing locations Telluride has to offer, including a waterfall and the most beautiful aspen grove! We did a little bit of off roading to reach some of these locations.

Fall in Telluride is truly magical! After a lot of exploring, they headed back to the house to have dinner cooked by a private chef. It was a delicious meal! They also cut their cake before heading back out for sunset portraits at the top of the gondola in Telluride. We also stuck around for some blue hour photos before ending the night back at the house for their first dance.” [Marta, the photographer]

Planning Tips for an Elopement Like This

“If you want to explore a variety of scenic locations in Telluride like Ashley and Nick did, definitely make sure to leave plenty of time in your timeline to enjoy each spot! Ashley and Nick were able to see so many places including the lake, the waterfall, and aspen grove because they booked a 12 hour elopement package, and even added on an hour at the end of their day! Also, if you want to see some locations off the beaten path, I definitely recommend hiring a local photographer who knows all the best spots. Finally, choosing the right time of year for certain scenery is key in Telluride. For example, Ashley and Nick knew they wanted fall colors so I helped them pick a date that had a high chance of making that a reality.” [Marta, the photographer]

Permit and LNT:  “No permits were needed for their small group size, however it is always important to follow LNT in any areas like this! My couple did not use any arches, chairs, or other fixtures for their ceremony in order to minimize impact. When we explored around for photos, we always stayed on trail.”

Memorable Moments From This Elopement

From the photographer:

“I definitely loved when we reached the aspen grove because that was one thing that Ashley really wanted on their elopement day was to walk through a golden aspen grove. Seeing how excited she was when we got to the spot made me so happy to have found this location for them! Another highlight was definitely their dinner catered by a private chef. It was honestly the best meal I have ever eaten as a wedding vendor! And my favorite intimate moment was when we drove to their ceremony location and they just held hands while singing songs with one another, it was so sweet.”
