Breathtaking Mountain Edge Elopement in North Bend, WA | Nicole & Brian

THIS COUPLE’S LOVE STORY BEGAN WITH THE SWEETEST MEET-CUTE AT A LOCAL ICE CREAM SHOP.

Brian took notice of a stunning fellow patron and invited her to take a stroll with him. There was an immediate connection, and he became so engrossed in their conversation, he barely noticed as ice cream slowly dripped from his cone down his shirt. Two years later, the couple decided to escape the white beaches of their Florida home to elope in Washington.

Though initially unsure of where to exchange vows, the two were certain it would include the mountains of the Pacific Northwest. Fortunately for them, their photographer knew of the perfect location in North Bend. Tessa Tadlock guided the couple across rocky paths and over boulders to reach this breathtaking secret retreat. “This elopement is a perfect example [of how] you don’t need to spend a ton of money when getting married, and you don’t need to have a huge wedding and follow traditions if [that is] not you,” she says. Her favorite details from the day included both lighthearted and sentimental events, from witnessing the bride’s skillful trek to the ceremony in her Desiree Hartsock gown and glittering sneakers, to the moment the couple exchanged personal vows before their nearest and dearest.

When asked about her work, Tessa describes how special it is to capture the raw emotional experience of an elopement such as this one. She draws inspiration from both the couple and her surroundings when she steps behind the lens, and this session is a testament to her brilliance!
