My wife and I got married in Scotland at Slains Castle in Peterhead on November 22, 2022, and The Sassenachs were a dream to work with. We are from the States, so planning our little wedding from afar was a bit daunting, but from our first zoom call with Matt and Jodie we knew they were the team we wanted to shoot our wedding. We actually found them on Instagram and fell in love with their style and then meeting them and getting to know them was icing on the cake. The day of our ceremony they were game for anything. They were fun and total pros. We are so in love with our photos. Everyone can’t stop saying how the photos look like they came straight out of a movie! We definitely recommend them!

Cannot thank Matt and Jodie enough for their kindness and being a part of our very special day in lovely Edinburgh! Not only are they charming and hilarious, but they are masterful professionals and go the extra mile. They will put you at ease, even in ice cold, pouring rain. We are from America and had never even been to Scotland prior, luckily our trust was not misplaced. From videos calls prior to when you get your pictures they handle everything with the utmost care. Matt and Jodie took photos for our elopement they where super friendly and accommodating, made us feel really relaxed and at ease. Me and my wife decided on a Scotland based elopement, and came across The Sassenachs as a photography option. After contacting Matt and Jodie it was clear that their wonderful personalities and enthusiasm were a perfect fit for us. We had the difficult task of planning our day in Scotland from our home in Calgary, Canada, and Matt and Jodie provided us with every single piece of information we could possibly need to nail down all the details, with a specifically notable effort made to providing multiple varied options for specific outdoor location.

Beyond the photography itself, which was gorgeous (the website photo examples do not lie), they also assisted us in finding a celebrant who turned out to be phenomenal, and provided suggestions for floral vendors and local transportation on the day of the wedding. We had a major family illness strike during the weeks leading up to the wedding, and Matt and Jodie worked with us on a limited time frame in a wonderfully professional yet personal manner. The day went off without a hitch, very largely thanks to their efforts.

Choosing the Sassenachs for your photography is a choice that I guarantee nobody will regret. The google system only allows a maximum 5 star rating, but I give them a 10/10.
