We cannot praise The Caryls enough, they made our day truly special. Our whole experience with Jim and Katy was wonderful. We had an initial meeting over Zoom and from that moment we knew they were the right people to have photograph our elopement. They were full of exciting and original ideas, and were extremely easy to chat to. They immediately put us at ease and gave us some great practical advice about eloping in Scotland. The images they took on our day truly took our breath away. They are something that we will treasure for years to come, and we cannot express our gratitude enough for how perfectly Katy & Jim captured our special day.

Wow - The Caryls are miracle workers! Truly. Hire them, please. You will not regret it! We decided to get married in a Scottish castle with just our closest friends and family. Initially, when we explored the idea eloping in the Scottish highlands, we found The Caryls and I knew that I had to work with them. I was drawn to every single photo they took! I reached out and was beyond thrilled when Katy & Jim said they were available for our day! We had a few zoom meetings, and right away they made us feel at ease! We traveled from Washington State to Scotland, which of course is not without stress. But Katy and Jim were so supportive and helped us at every step of the way.

One the day of our wedding they were patient, kind, and being around them actually brought a calming sense during such a busy day. They worked so hard and the images they delivered to us brought us both to tears. Looking through them is like reliving the best day of our lives all over again. They truly captured every detail and every emotion we felt that day, in the most amazing way possible. The images they created are incredible and we will cherish these memories for years to come. We couldn't recommend Katy & Jim highly enough, and we will be forever thankful for them!

Where to even begin?! Katy and Jim are simply incredible at what they do. Only The Caryls could make us want to travel across the Atlantic for our wedding day! From the moment I discovered their work, I was enthralled by their photos instantly and still can’t believe we were lucky enough to have them by our side for our Scottish elopement.

From the beginning, we knew we were in caring hands as we navigated the unknown territory of eloping internationally from the US. We knew we made the right decision from the first Zoom call we had with Katy & Jim. We all shared the same thoughtful, yet adventurous spirit we envisioned for our special day and they also helped us along the way when it came to vendors, local and travel recommendations, and any questions we had (no matter how random).

Fast forward to our elopement day and it was so mesmerising to see The Caryls in action! The way they analyse the lighting and how much they will trek for the perfect shot was incredible. They really put a lot of love and research in scouting out the best hidden spots that we never would have known about otherwise. Not only that, but they were so warm and friendly that we loved our chats with them throughout the day (despite us being rather introverted) and it felt like hanging-out with old friends!

We loved reliving the magic of our day through their stunning, unique and genuine photos. All in all, our experience with The Caryls and Scotland was one we look back on with extreme fondness. We love that our day felt exactly like us and we couldn’t have done it without them. There is no better team in the world we would have rather spent our day with, and we can’t begin to thank them enough for the once in a lifetime memories we will treasure always.

There’s not much I can say to truly convey how grateful I am to Katy and Jim for being part of our wedding day. They went above and beyond their “photographing duties” in the run up to help with planning and logistics of the day and gave us so many recommendation’s for suppliers, accommodation, locations . . . the list goes on. On the day, they even sourced a plan b location as the first wasn’t suitable due to the weather. They really are more than just your photographers.

Getting to know them in the lead up to the day and watching them at work was amazing. The care and attention they put into capturing our day was unreal. We felt like we spent the day with old friends. We got our sneak peaks a couple of days after the wedding and they were amazing. . . then the full album arrived some weeks after and my gosh, we were blown away. We knew they’d be good but WOW! they surpassed all expectations. The scenery, the light, the emotions (to name a few) all captured beautifully and perfectly. There were quite a bit of joyful tears that day. Katy and Jim from the bottom of our hearts thank you once again for all you did and for being so wonderful. We truly don’t have enough thank you’s!

We cannot praise the Caryls enough! Katy and Jim are the nicest most amazing photographers and they couldn’t have helped us any more, from helpful suggestions on flowers, accommodation and suits to even helping us find the perfect location to exchange our vows. Katy and Jim go above and beyond to make your day feel special and relaxed. Not to mention the photographs came out absolutely stunning, we are still getting comments about how beautiful our photographs are 7 months later.

We eloped in Glenoce and we had the absolute best day. It was just me and my partner, plus Katy and Jim who also acted as our witnesses. They were super relaxed, fun, professional, and went above and beyond in every respect.

Tiny example my (now wife) told me that happened on the day, Jim was tying his shoelace and I mentioned casually that my flower button has come off. He literally didn't even finish tying his shoelaces, he jumped up and came over to fix it. Really small detail, but it is just one example of how amazing they are to have around on your big day.

Then of course, the photos - wow! Check out their website or Instagram and you'll get a sense of their unique style, and fantastic skillset. I highly recommend getting in touch if you're feeling adventurous and want to go to places not many people have been for epic wedding photos. We climbed a hill (mountain?) at 21.00 and got the most incredible sunset shots. Unreal. Katy and Jim specialise in this sort of thing - finding unique locations and turning the day into an adventure. Way more fun and interesting than your stock standard wedding!

I could go on, but you get the point - these guys are incredible. If you're lucky enough to secure them for your elopement, make the most of it. Climb a mountain, go to that island, embrace their (and your) sense of adventure. 6 stars if it was possible - thank you both so much!
