Shawna was both very professional and fun during the shoots and wedding ceremonies. She had some great ideas for pictures, both the classic poses that everyone expects and some more original ones that turned out looking great. She made us feel comfortable and gave us good advice to make us look our best. The organisation was flawless, the planning beforehand very flexible and the finished pictures were send very quickly.
Most importantly: the pictures look amazing. We expected some professional shots (and got those), but some pictures are downright pieces of art. We and even our family and friends were amazed, truly, by how high the quality of the pictures was. Both the composition and the post-processing show a real dedication to the art.

My partner and I did a shoot with Shawna on the Belgian coast in De Haan. From the photos on Shawna's website we could see that this is an extremely talented photographer, not one of those that you have a dime in a dozen, but really the best of the best, de crème de la crème. The shoot itself was super fun and not at all awkward. Shawna had original ideas and told us exactly what we could do. The relaxed atmosphere also allowed her to take a lot of spontaneous photos and capture us as a couple as who we really are. It's also really nice to talk to her during the shoot, she has tons of experience and has already been a bit all over the world. Despite the fact that I knew she was incredibly talented, I fell off my chair looking at the photos. Wow. I was going to be happy if there was one beautiful photo, but I got all beautiful photos and believe me, this is completely Shawna's credit. Everyone around me congratulated me with the beautiful photos, from family and friends to colleagues. The photos are an invaluable gift to us, something we will cherish forever. When my girlfriend told me she organised a photography session for us on the streets of Lisbon, I was a little bit shocked and quite nervous. I have never done such a thing before and didn't know how to pose or pretend I'm comfortable. Well, no need for that - as soon as we met with Shawna I felt completely relaxed! She is such a nice person and really makes you feel like she's just a friend randomly taking photos. I don't know how, but two hours with her just flew by and now we're left with such a nice experience and even more incredible photos! Shawna is an awesome photographer and it was a real pleasure working together with her for my surprise engagement shoot in Belgium.

Not only is she easy to work and communicate with, but she also makes sure you feel comfortable and have fun during the shoot (I do not like being in front of a camera at all, but felt very comfortable!). She's also very open to taking into account your wishes/ideas, and builds upon them where possible to create pictures that you will cherish forever.

I first got in touch with Shawna through my cousin who knew her in Canada. It turned out we were both about to move to the same city in Belgium! I was preparing for my wedding in Positano, Italy and needed a photographer. My cousin got us in contact and I immediately knew Shawna was the photographer for us. It was such a great event shooting our wedding pictures in Germany: she has an eye for beautiful spots to position the two of you so that the light is just right and the surrounding is beautiful and you cut a good figure.
Moreover, her instructions are subtle but direct, so that you are never lost what to do with your hands or face 😉
