Hey there, I’m Alexandria, and I’m an elopement and intimate wedding photographer based near Seattle and serve Washington State! I like long walks in the woods, cheese curds, and always with sour punch straws in my pocket! šŸ™‚

Elopements and micro weddings are such unique ways to celebrate in ways that represent you and your partner, where you get to be your true authentic selves.

You get to plan an adventure that’s unique to you.

Maybe you rent a sailboat and get married in the Puget Sound (and myabe see some orcas!)

Or you might rent a private space in wine country and have a intimate dinner with close friends!

Or maybe you want to head to Mount Rainier/Tahoma and say your vows with a majestic volcano behind you!

…and then only invite those that will make you feel 100% comfortable

Photos are the tangible things we get to take away from moments, and help us relive our special memories.

Grab your phone and take a look at a random picture. What does it make you remember about that moment? How does that picture make you feel?

Maybe it’s a vacation picture, and you remember how you visited an ice cream stand that had the best ice cream, but it was so warm it just melted down your hand and you didn’t even care.

Or maybe its from a hike, and you instantly get the gut feeling of what it was like to see that final view for the first time.

Or maybe its of you and your best friend, and it just reminds you how much you truly appreciate how that person made you feel on your birthday.

Photos remind us of how we felt in those moments, not just what we looked like.

As a photographer, I want you to be able to live in the moment so you can relive the moment with clarity when you look back at your final images.Ā  I intentionally shoot more candidly to accomplish this, rather than posing you all day. For portraits and activities, I will help direct you for best light and location and we’ll work together to create some artful photographs!

But that’s not all I do šŸ™‚ Your planning should start with hiring the right photographer.

I pour my heart and soul into each elopement because each one is so different. But because I’ve photographed smaller weddings, I have loads of ideas, I understand how long things take, I constantly am exploring in my own state, and I want to make sure you are able to create the most perfect day for you. All packages include: Photography & edited photos in an online, downloadable gallery; Personalized location ideas & Permit Assistance; Photography timeline help; Access to elopement resources; Marriage Officiation (if needed); Photographer Travel in WA State if by 2wd or commercial airlines

I photograph elopements under 10 people in nature, and micro weddings up to 50 at a venue. Full packages are listed on my website!

I can’t wait to work with you and share your story! All love welcome <3

Happy Trails!

Alexandria was absolutely amazing, from our first video meeting to the day of. Before we had even had our first meeting she was already looking into what permits we needed and how to get them in order to have our small ceremony at Mt Rainier National Park. We didn't have a ton of time to plan, but she was with us all along the way, making suggestions, continuously looking up road updates (some roads in the park can be closed at the time we wanted to get married), and listening to our suggestions as well. She also took into consideration some of our guests' limitations when making suggestions. The day she was so encouraging and laughed along with us. She made things very comfortable, and helped me with my last bit of changing. She helped make the day fun and I felt very at ease with her. And so far, the sneek peek pictures are amazing! I cannot recommend her enough!

I honestly cannot speak more highly of Alexandria. I was a 2020 bride and when we decided to cancel our wedding due to COVID, we were almost completely heartbroken. We booked with Alexandria back in 2018, shortly after we got engaged (she was our first choice after working with her for a styled shoot in Chicago, even after she relocated to WA -- no one else could compete with her, believe me, I looked HARD!). We wanted to keep our original date but had no idea how to get married and still preserve any sort of sentiment. I called Alexandria to break the news that we'd be canceling our wedding of 300 people and shared the heartbreak and disappointment and defeat I felt. She was beyond what I needed at that time and quickly went from photographer to wedding planner and helped us reimagine a new, non-traditional, equally beautiful, equally sentimental wedding. She stuck with us through the entire planning process (we had to change venues a couple times) and she was incredibly thoughtful and patient throughout. On the day of the wedding, she was like a part of our family (my mom said she would happily adopt her and my dad sang her praises -- everyone was SO impressed with her). She was incredibly professional, organized, selfless, and made an effort to learn the names of our 20 guests. She helped us incorporate everything we wanted from our big wedding into this smaller, more intimate ceremony (including finding a gorgeous nearby park for us to take some photos). She captured EVERY moment, emotion, smile, tear, laugh (literally every single one -- I don't know how she does it). I usually hate my pictures, but there were so many to choose from and we all still gush over our wedding photos. Alexandria has a very unique way about her, where she carries herself so professionally, but can make you feel like you've known each other for years at the same time. She has such an ease about her, yet she is very intentional about what she does. She is SO insanely talented and is as good a person as she is a photographer. She is a unicorn; we would not have been able to have half the wedding we did without her. Like I said in the beginning, I cannot say enough about her, but I'll leave you with this: this is one easy decision you'll never regret if you book her. Wishing you all the best, safe, and happy wedding planning!

Working with Alexandria to plan our wedding was such a fantastic experience! We had about two months of planning time, and it was perfect. She had many great ideas and resources, scouted out locations for us, and helped us plan a timeline for a wonderful, unforgettable experience. Alexandria made us feel so comfortable and at ease day of - no stress at all! The day felt so relaxed and was truly our own. Even though the weather was overcast and a bit rainy for our afternoon hike, it was the perfect backdrop for pictures! Receiving our gallery and reliving the day was such a special treat - the quality of the pictures is so artistic, intimate, professional, and candid - she did an incredible job! I would 10/10 recommend working with Alexandria to plan a one of a kind experience

I wanted to say what a great experience this has been for my wife and I throughout. The whole environment felt relaxed and professional, which can be hard to achieve. I think her positivity, creativity and professionalism is what set the tone from the beginning.

From the start, Alexandria was incredibly responsive, well organized and thoughtful during the whole process. She took the time to get to know us, find the perfect location (she gave us plenty of options) and stay in touch all the way to the big day!

On the day, she was on time, organized, and professional throughout. I really enjoyed her direction, and how she gave us the chance to be ourselves, but was always ready to help and give some pointers when needed.

Afterwards, the photos speak for themselves. I know she can't control the weather, but wow what a perfect Northwest day! cloudy skies, emerald waters (her location!), and green forest really gave us the look we were going for to remember our special day.

If anyone is reading this looking for a photographer, book with Sage Trails! You found the right place!

I am a wedding planner and Alexandria and I originally met at a wedding we worked together, where I was the planner and she was the photographer. As the planner, it's my job to communicate with the full team of vendors and make sure all of us are on the same page to serve the couple and do the best we can to give them the wedding they envisioned. Through no ones fault, this wedding didn't quite turn out as envisioned because there ended up being a tornado warning! This meant that we had to move what was originally supposed to be an outdoor rooftop ceremony to a banquet hall indoors and it put a lot of the planned outdoor group photography up in the air. Oh boy! I tell this story because now looking back at the photos from that wedding, I think some of the most special ones (at least from my outsider perspective) are the ones she captured from the couple's first look, which happened outdoors in the rain. Rain was not a part of the plan, but is forever now one of the most beautiful memories of this couples day. Alexandria's ability to roll with things and capture the realness of what was happening is not a talent every photographer has (and I've worked with a lot)! She was exactly what you'd look for in a vendor - great communication, being one step ahead of things, knowing exactly where to have her eyes and lens on what was important to capture in the moment. A few years later I was lucky enough to be the coordinator, hired by Alexandria and her husband for their "big" wedding so they were able to enjoy their day. It is always an honor to be a vendor trusted by another vendor for their wedding because they can be understandable more selective in who they want to work with. It was a joy to get to know her more on a personal level through this process, and the values and vibes that are important to her. Her and her husband had already been living in Washington for some time and I could tell the Pacific NW lifestyle was perfect for them, which translates directly into the new direction of her photography business. I appreciate a vendor that doesn't try and be everything to everyone, and instead focuses on a tailored, personalized experience to be able to specifically serve those they align with the best. Also, listen to me as a planner - Photography is one of the MOST important vendors and spends you should make for your wedding because when everything is said and done, all you will have are those photos. Plan your adventure elopement with her today!
