Eloping is a radical act of self-love and independence; where you cut out the noise and expectations of others and just do whatever the hell lights your soul up. It’s an intimate experience that centers around being present in the moment…and I am 1000% HERE FOR IT.
Hey, I’m Meg, a weird introvert who photographs people in love all over the PNW. I was born and raised in Washington state and live with my cute little family in our cozy little home on the water in Kitsap County. We spend our days together being in nature, gaming, having philosophical discussions…or just laughing at our three furry family members being all kinds of derpy.
I’m a strong believer that what I do is 98% personal connection and 2% actual photo taking. I’ve been a professional photog for a decade now and have refined my photography approach into one that is intuitive and holistic, focusing on the things that make you feel at home. Where you can be yourself, totally and completely.
To me, adventure is a mindset and not a physical location; it’s about choosing joy over the status quo. That’s why I love elopements. To go above and beyond the realm of “normal” and create images that are straight-up ~*magic*~.
I photograph adventurers of all abilities and backgrounds. I’m also big on anti-discrimination and I choose to only hold creative space for people who feel the same way. I’m here to lift up love and ensure that all of my couples feel safe, seen, and celebrated.
With that in mind, I want to specifically encourage people with varying levels of mobility: you don’t have to give up the idea of rad nature-based photos, I promise. With me being an asthmatic and my husband being a wheelchair user, I know what it’s like to love nature but realize the soul-crushing reality of how inaccessible so many places can be. I spend a ton of my free time mapping out places my husband and I can enjoy together and love helping other people in similar situations do the same for their photos. So don’t be discouraged – you CAN still have bomb outdoorsy photos without hiking for miles!
Sooooo anyway, all that to say: I’m in it for my fellow weirdos in love. You in?
