Kári Björn is an Icelandic destination wedding and elopement photographer, available in Iceland, North America, and Europe.

I get it, you’re not the type of couple to book the boring venue two of your friends already got married at and have everybody over for yet another standard wedding day. Also! I grew up in Reykjavík and spent my childhood traveling the country with my family and friends. I moved abroad in my early 20s and have lived in 11 places on 3 continents in the last 15 years. Currently I divide my time between Reykjavík and Fayetteville, Arkansas.

As a photographer, I studied photography at Parsons School of Design and have worked in settings that range from the Vanity Fair Oscars Party to capturing the Icelandic National Football Team preparing for the 2018 Fifa World Cup. I’ve walked on glaciers and been yelled at by Rihanna (woops😬) — not on the same shoot though!

For the past 4 years, I’ve transitioned to photographing destination weddings and elopements, especially after my wife and I eloped ourselves. I am frequently back in Iceland and available to capture your adventure elopement!
