So, the idea of a ‘normal’ wedding just wasn’t getting you excited, hey? And now you’re thinking about eloping? GREAT choice!

We’re Chad and Vanessa, and we are ‘The Outlovers’.

We’re an elopement photography and planning assistance team, based in western Colorado and Utah, adventuring with couples across the US and worldwide.

We are here to support ALL couples who find their deepest connection in the great outdoors.

Adventure is etched deep into the DNA of our relationship. Your’s, too, we’d guess? In fact, we’d bet good money that you and your partner thrive on new places and new experiences? Well then, it’s only natural that you’d want that for your wedding day, too. We regularly hit the road in our renovated RV, and are seasoned international travelers (we’ve lived in 8 countries between us and traveled to over 40 more).

So, wherever you want to elope, you can rest easy in the knowledge that we have the skills and experience to help you get there! We will guide and support you every step of the way.

  • Wanna hike up a Colorado mountain in the dark and share your vows as the sun rises over the peaks? We’ll bring breakfast.

  • Prefer a sunset-session Jeeping the dirt tracks of the Utah desert, staying out to watch the stars? We got beers and headlamps.

  • Does the idea of a multi-day road-trip around romantic Scotland get you excited? We’re already plotting the route.

  • Or do you dream of exploring one of the US’s SPECTACULAR national parks. We’ve been to 14 in the last year!

As a husband and wife team, we’ve got you covered! We’re not only your photographers: we’re your planning assistants, support team, unofficial tour guides, ceremony officiants and dog wranglers extraordinaire (heck yeah, you can bring your woofer to your elopement!). We’re going to be by your side through the entire planning process: helping you choose a location, writing a day-of timeline for you, advising on what to wear and what to bring, helping you figure out permits etc.

We want the experience to be nothing but FUN for you both.

Vanessa and Chad helped us through the planning process with ease, asking all the right questions and working with us to find a great location off the beaten path to re-share our wedding vows. We had the most awesome views all to ourselves! They helped us feel totally at ease in front of the lens and our photos are STUNNING! Vanessa and Chad are wonderful, and we love how our photos turned out! They are very responsive, easy to communicate with, and just genuinely super friendly and nice while also being extremely professional. Despite COVID, they managed to make us instantly feel at ease. The whole day with them felt very relaxed and was a lot of fun, which allowed us to completely be ourselves. This beautifully showed in the candid and intimate moments captured in their pictures. They have an incredible talent for the “couple within a stunning landscape” kind of photography that we love, and they captured many beautiful moments between us. T & R

Vanessa and Chad met up with us on the Washington coast for our first year wedding anniversary for a beautiful, relaxing evening taking photos on the beaches. They were extremely communicative and organized, both in the weeks prior to meeting, and on the day of our session. They prepared several special moments and locations for us, and it really made the whole day feel even more romantic and personal! They also worked with our dog, incorporating him into some photos, and watching him while we got shots of just us. We quickly felt comfortable following their lead, and we ended up with spectacular photos. When we shared them with our friends, they said we looked straight out of a fairytale. We would highly recommend their services!

SOULMATES, PLAYMATES AND LIFELONG ADVENTURE BUDDIES.

We’re from the US and Scotland, we met in Honduras and have lived and worked (as professional scuba divers!) in Indonesia, Fiji and Tonga since.

Our loved ones refer to us as ‘two turtles in one shell’ we’re such twin souls.

We’d guess that your relationship has been built on the strong foundations of a shared love of adventure, travel and the great outdoors?

Yup, ours too!

'Home' is wherever we are with each other (and our two rescue pups!) and that's a pretty great feeling.
