About This Elopement at Matterhorn
“The day started with the first look in post hotel Zermatt, then taking a horse carriage through the old town of Zermatt to reach the gondola. We took the gondola up the mountain to go dogsledding just before having the ceremony. They said their vows at the foot of Matterhorn. After the ceremony, we took the gondola to Klein Matterhorn, where we skied down towards the Italian side. We then took a helicopter up on a mountaintop and popped champagne as the sunset.” [Malin, the photographer]
Planning Your Elopement in Zermatt, Switzerland
“It’s not a cheap destination. Make sure you have a budget for it. But it’s totally worth it. This ‘piece of rock’ is simply magical and there is a lot to offer Zermatt – for summer elopement and winter elopements. So much more than you can see in this elopement, there is something for everyone. Avoid it if you can in between seasons.” [Malin, the photographer]

Memorable Moments From This Elopement
From the photographer:
Malin loved how fun and unique this elopement was. Emma and Sean incorporated so many activities that were important to them. Instead of worrying about wedding guests or flowers, they just enjoyed every moment with each other.
“The couple brought a loudspeaker and had a Spotify list with special songs they played at certain moments during their elopement like during their gondola ride or when they were dancing on the mountain top with champagne.”
