We are Nick & Danée, best friends, newlyweds, artists, avid travelers, and owners of Nick Plus Danée.

While we are professional photographers by trade… We are also sushi addicts and coffee connoisseurs. And though we do our best to drift into new places and experience new things... It is not uncommon to spot the two of us on our computers working [while Nick breaks out into random song], and re-runs of Fixer Upper, Family Feud, and Impractical Jokers blast in the background.

Our very modern love story began with... Instagram. Yep. Instagram. Nick was a photographer in Cleveland and Danée was a photographer living in Southern California. At first our relationship was long distance, but because of our craze for each other, and our mutual love for travel, we found that we were together more often than not. Since then, we have combined forces, got married [YAY!], and shoot all weddings together.

We live for couples who are as adventurous as we are, and we value those who hire us for our art, our vision, and grant us creative freedom to create the most amazing imagery possible on their wedding day. Our goal is to tell the story of your wedding without interfering with the natural flow of the day. Keeping the posed shots to a minimum, we document the expressions, events, and emotions that make your wedding uniquely your own. Above all… We feel as though we are doing exactly what we were meant to do, and we pinch ourselves each morning that we get to wake up and do what we love… With the person that we love most!

Hey! I’m Emily and I’m a native Texan currently residing in Washington state. Some of my favorite things are craft beer, good food, traveling, my kids, the outdoors, music, and movies. Oh-and taking pictures of people in love. It’s seriously the best job in the world.

I like to think that I’m a very “chill” professional. While I do enjoy directing certain photos, for the most part I enjoy being a fly on the wall and capturing your wedding (or engagement, elopement, etc) as it’s happening in living color.

I love making playlists and bringing music along on shoots, but half the time I forget to even bring out the speaker because my clients and I are too caught up in conversation. I’m a sarcastic chatterbox that gets along with damn near anyone!

I’m the photographer you hire because you want the closest thing to a friend shooting your wedding. I’m the photographer you hire because you value real life moments and the simplistic beauty that is a candid shot. I’m the photographer who’ll make inappropriate jokes and obscure movie and TV show references. I’m the photographer you’ll want to get a beer with.

Hi there, I’m Amy. I am a wedding and portrait photographer for thrill-seeking and outdoor loving couples. I have been photographing weddings in the Pacific Northwest and Jackson Hole since 2010. Telling stories through photography for like-minded humans is my life’s passion.

An adventurous soul through-and-through, you can frequently find me chasing powder on my snowboard, trekking deep into the mountains with a backpack full of camping gear, or paddling out into the surf of the rugged Washington coast with my husband and son.

I’m lucky that photography has given me the opportunity to witness one of life’s greatest adventures with so many couples. Through the lens I’ve shared tears of joy, moments of glee, and incredible heartfelt connections. It would be my greatest honor to tell your story and embark with you on your next adventure.
