TL/DR: Hire Will. He is a marvelous communicator, his pictures are organic, beautiful, rich, and capture all the little moments I know other people would have missed. On top of that he is such a wonderful person to be around. I cannot recommend him enough. Now for the full story: My (now) husband and I thought eloping in 2020 would be the easy option, but this crazy year had other plans for us. We knew we wanted to hike someplace we love and get hitched on the trail...but that was about all we knew. We had struggled to figure out what our ceremony might look like and what would be obtainable for an adventure elopement. Enter Will! We fell in love with his pictures on-line, and after meeting with him and our other photographer candidates via zoom....we knew he was the right choice for us. Will really took the time to get to know us, even though it was a crazy season for everyone. He genuinely was interested in who we are, and how we work together as a couple and I think that really shows in the photos he captures as they look so personal to us. He helped us through figuring out what our PERFECT ceremony was, and it really made us feel comfortable knowing we had someone that's done this before and knows what to expect (this was key, logistically speaking). Even though an unfortunate wind pattern and one of the worst fires in CA history had ash and smoke raining down on us for our day, Will remained calm and flexible as we made last minute audibles to accommodate the insanity that is 2020, and was an incredible touchstone for us as we navigated multiple back up plans. The day itself was amazing. We (read: I) am incredibly awkward in photos and in situations where people are staring at me...yet I felt SO comfortable with Will. He's a laid back guy that felt like one of our friends. He's also very thoughtful and just wonderful to be around and gives off a warm and inviting energy. He was so instrumental to making our day perfect (despite the smoke!). He communicated with us clearly when he would deliver the pictures, and wowed us with a sneak peak gallery not long after the wedding to share with family and friends. I was/am blown away....I could see from his other work that he is an incredibly gifted photographer but these pictures captured US and looked so amazing. (Again, I'm usually so awkward in photos and I couldn't believe how natural we looked!!). We just got through looking at our entire gallery he sent over (to include a sweet little video montage that is easy to share with family and friends) and I balled my eyes out. He somehow managed to capture the little intricacies of the day and the interactions between me and my husband, and little moments between our friends as well...and that truly mean so much to us. He somehow did all that with also capturing the beauty of the surrounding area and the majesty of the mountains we could see through the smoke. Our friends and family have told us that they felt like they were there with us as they worked their way through the photos, and expressed gratitude that they could feel like they were somehow apart of our day, even though they were across the country. I expected a lot out of Will, and yet somehow he surpassed every expectation. Hire Will for this very important day of yours...you'll be in good hands!

My now husband and I were supposed to have our international wedding in March 2020. Unfortunately, COVID-19 happened and had to cancel those plans. We were debating if elopement was our way to go and with much deliberation, we decided, why not? Our biggest ask was to find a photographer that would capture every moment of us. That photographer is Will Khoury. We already loved Will's work from the beginning, that's why we hired him. But because our initial plans for our wedding didn't pan out, we were still in the phase of uncertainty but to have Will work with you so exclusively, gives you that much more confidence, that without even meeting, come the day of the elopement, everything was effortless, easy and made you feel taken care of. The only challenge was location. Will worked with us extensively to understand where we wanted to have the ceremony weeks in advance and assured us the post ceremony photo spots would stay true to our big picture ideas: moody, forest and ocean cliffside vibes. Also, there was a park ranger that notified us that we couldn't have our photos taken in certain spots, but Will made sure to not disappoint and came prepared with many creative options on the spot to make everything work. The coverage on the elopement day was flawless. Will knows how to keep the bride and groom in a good suspense; to keep us from seeing each other until we reach the location, managing the 3 guests we did have and seamless moving us to the each location was effortless clockwork that allowed us to enjoy us as a couple without worrying about the extras. Will's work speaks volumes. When we received our photos, we were in shock and awe! And still are. Our pictures came out phenomenal!! His photos not only captured the beauty of our elopement but everything we wanted and that much more. We also had amazing surprises, a sunset picnic and night photo session that was beyond anything we can ask for. Will is friendly, genuine, professional and he understands what the couple wants and needs on their special day. Don't be on the fence hiring Will. If you had any thought to hire Will, DO IT. Will DOES NOT disappoint!! If you like what you see in his galleries, you can bet he will bring your ideas to reality. Will takes special care of his clients, going above and beyond not only to understand what the couple wants but to also get to know them and work with them through the entire wedding process. This makes all the difference because you don't just want a photographer that just points and shoots. You want a photographer that makes you feel comfortable and captures your every moment like he's not even there. Will is an absolute godsend. My husband and I decided to elope in California even though we live in Texas. Obviously, this causes a lot of logistical issues. One video chat with Will and everything was set. Will is super knowledgeable about California and all the gorgeous places you can elope. We explained to him what we were hoping to achieve from our elopement and he was able to suggest locations that worked perfectly for what we wanted. He then spoke to us about different options at each location and was able to draft an itinerary for the day of. He took out all the guesswork and anxiety and was pretty much a wedding planner and photographer all in one. He was always super available to us throughout the whole process. Will has such a calm demeanor, which made us feel so comfortable, not only through the planning process but also on the day of. Both my husband and I would consider ourselves awkward people, but Will was able to make us feel comfortable and really capture some amazing images. Once we got our gallery back I was so amazed at all the moments he managed to capture without me even knowing. He really has an eye for detail and judgment for when to capture special moments. We had two different locations for our elopement, with quite a bit of driving in between. Will was able to make the whole day into an experience where we were able to cherish the day. He never made us feel rushed, even though we shot photos for over 8 hours. We also received sneak peeks a few days after the elopement, and our full gallery in record time. Will is worth every penny. Anyone who has him as their wedding photographer is extremely lucky. Not only is he a true artist, but his professionalism and demeanor really make him the whole package. We really could not imagine our elopement without him.

Ahhhh, where to start.... From our very first encounter with Will via video chat, we knew we had found our photographer. Never did we imagine we would hire someone so far away! (Greetings from Australia haha). But we just had this instant connection and this genuine feeling that he really wanted to be apart of our special day. After communicating back and forth, we finally made our decision to choose Will and I literally had tears in my eyes! Will created such an amazing experience for us on the day. His professionalism, genuine nature, and talent is what made the day what it was. Planning a wedding in Santorini was a challenge because there wasn't much communication with our wedding planner (AT ALL). Even days prior to the wedding, I wasn't quite sure how things would pan out on the day. But from the moment we met with our wedding planner a day prior to the wedding, Will just took charge of the meeting, he asked questions, planned structure, and really gave us this sense of peace. I just trusted his direction so much, and I appreciate that moment more than I could ever say. Prior to the wedding, we worked out exactly where we were going to take photos so that we weren't wasting time and that we could spend more time with our family, which was really important to us. Will spent 2-3 hours doing this for us!! I can't believe the amount of photos we received from the day! So many special moments captured and I didn't even notice he was there taking them. In fact, besides our portraits, there wasn't a time I even noticed Will there! Such a ninja haha. The photos are...speechless. Still can't believe they're ours! I hand on my heart, thank my lucky stars for finding Will. Our day wouldn't have been the same without him. There are absolutely not enough words to capture the beauty of Will’s work. The beauty of his work goes further than the magic he creates behind his camera (which trust me is A WHOLE LOT OF MAGIC). Will made the entire booking process from planning to preparation to travels to the overnight stay nothing short of perfect. Will has the most down to earth and grounding personality. He is full of positive and uplifting energy. He listened to our vision for our engagement shoot and He laid out the entire shoot just how we wanted it. We really had no work to do. It was the most stress-free trip. I knew that all we had to do was simply show up for our shoot and the rest Will would handle. He went with the flow and kept our spirits high even when the weather wasn’t in our favor. He made us feel sooo comfortable throughout the whole shoot. We can’t wait to book Will again for our future anniversary and milestone shoots. &&& we can’t wait to share all of our beautiful photos with all of our family and friends.

After speaking with almost 10 photographers to shoot our elopement, we chose Will! Will was phenomenal!!! He made our wedding go off without a hitch! He was with us every step of the way, even helped us to plan it and figure out a day of schedule! He went beyond the duties and roles of what a normal photographer would do! He was happy, helpful, accommodating and relaxed! His personality is a calm during what feels like a stressful storm sometimes. He alleviated so much stress because he was so useful and helpful. Will was/is our dream photographer. He was our #1 pick when searching for photographers in the Yosemite area and my husband and I thought there was no way we were going to be able to book him for our intimate wedding. Even when doing our initial research, we would constantly go back to his website and just say, “imagine if we got to work with him?” A great way to get to know your photographer? Take a hike with them! We met Will for the first time, in person, at a random location he sent us in the park, and immediately it was just like we were exploring the park with a friend. It was such a fun adventure experience, and something we love telling people we hiked with our photographer! We thought we had a vision for what our photos would be like, with the help of Pinterest inspiration and the “classic“ Yosemite photos. But in the end our all-time favorite photos are when we just let Will direct us and we trusted his vision. We live in LA, so Yosemite is a destination for us but Will’s experience and knowledge with the area took us to locations we could have never found on our own. He was great at balancing the iconic photos we had seen and wanted, and creating these amazing pieces of art. Will truly is a storyteller, and we are so grateful to have these amazing moments captured to share with our family forever. When we look back on our wedding/pre-wedding pictures, one things we just say is, “We are so lucky. I can’t believe these pictures are US!” Our story is not unique, we got engaged a week before shutdown so we knew it was going to be a struggle to plan anything. Will was amazing with accommodating for Covid related potential issues. He was constantly communicating with us, making potential schedule changes for us (which thankfully we did not end up needing), and via his website we found our amazing videographers as well! 
I can go on and on about Will and his creative talents with a camera, but at the end of the day Will is just a amazing person to work with. Working with Will will always be one of the best investments we have made, and for anyone who is in the decision process. Will is beyond a photographer; he becomes your friend, your visionary, and someone you will cherish to have worked with. Most, if not all, of our vendors knew Will and had such high praise for him. My husband and I are so happy that we were able to get to know Will and have him share our special day. From the moment we chatted with Will we knew he was going to be a perfect match. He was not only extremely professional but he was so helpful with all kinds of wedding planning, even from day one! He was familiar with the area we were getting married in and sent over a few galleries for us to see what he had photographed previously in these areas. We were originally going to split coverage with 2 days of shooting. Will had helped us plan the logistics and timing for both days to ensure we get the best light for photos each day. As with most 2020 weddings, we had to make many changes to our day (and eventually condensed it down to one day with only family) and Will, yet again, helped us plan out a new timeline to ensure that we got all the shots we wanted. We even were able to take a small trip to a different location for our First Look. It is very obvious that Will has been doing this a long time as he has an eye for detail. He helped around the venue on the day of; helping our florist tie down our decorations and being sure my dress was stored safely! My whole family loved Will’s friendly disposition and soft-spoken nature. He is overly kind-hearted and he brought out the best in us! Will went above and beyond his duties as a photographer and an artist. He not only captured our special day so we could share it with those that weren’t able to join but he gave us well-thought-out works of art that my husband and I will cherish forever. Even after our photos were ready to view, he still put in extra time and effort to make a few adjustments/edits to our prints! In the end, all I can say about Will is that if you have the chance to work with him, do it! His work is breathtakingly beautiful. A true artist ;)

Hiring Will as our photographer for our wedding was hands down the BEST decision we made. Like many other couples we had to adjust our wedding plans due to covid. From our first conversation with Will, he got us very excited about adjusting from a big wedding to an elopement in Yosemite. He knew all the amazing spots in Yosemite for pictures, had great ideas on what items we should bring for props for photos, and most importantly he created a timeline of what they entire day would look like. Will’s communication is so great! We had two zoom calls with him and we went over details of the day of. He checked in with us days before the wedding and anytime we had a question we could text him and he always responded. Will is more than a photographer; he was like our wedding planner. He helped everyone put on their boutonnieres, kept us all on a timeline, and kept me very calm when my wife forgot her dress shirt. He helped her find another shirt and make it look nice. Furthermore, my wife and I wanted to do first look at the wedding site and Will made it happen. He had everything figured out with using different cars and walkie talkies. We got everything we wanted!! Will has an amazing amount of positive energy!! It was absolutely freezing the day we got married and he kept us going and not letting the cold get to us. There were a few moments were my wife and I didn’t want to take anymore photos and Will could feel that energy and he would get us super hyped about the next spot so we would keep going. So grateful he did that, photos are absolutely stunning. He is extremely professional and super down to earth. Throughout the day he would show us sneak peeks at on his camera. Will had our photos back within a month and he surprised us by making a slide show of our wedding. I cry with joy every time I watch it. The photos are truly perfect. Will captured everything we wanted and more. Will is very passionate about his job and it makes the entire experience magical. Seriously don’t think twice about hiring Will. He is so worth it!!!!! We will always refer him to every single one of our friends. We know down the line we will be hiring him again. :)

I am so thankful that we found Will! From the beginning he was helpful in planning when we were making early decisions. We are very lucky to have someone that knew the Big Sur area as well as him. I can honestly say he was basically responsible for planning our elopement. On our day he made us very comfortable despite never have taken couples photos. I don’t think I’ve had the pleasure to meet someone as just genuinely nice as him! He really wants to make it the perfect day. The fact that he specializes in elopements made him the perfect choice. I mean the guy was climbing sides of rocks and hills for the shots. I have absolutely no doubts he will shoot it out of the park for you.

After discussing with my wife, we've decided apart from our small ceremony that hiring Will had to be the best choice we made for our wedding. He traveled from California to Alaska and was able to adapt his style to the challenges of snow, rain, and frozen gusts in the sun-- all while still making us look fantastic. He was very kind and helpful in planning. Even when we hit roadblocks or weren't sure of the next steps, Will was always throwing out collaborative ideas that matched our vision for the day. He took the time to make sure what we wanted was executed. His personality is a great presence on your wedding day. He is calm, positive, and if things change, adaptable. The photos were amazing, and that is an understatement. Although we originally hired him as a photographer, by the end of the wedding we felt we should have invited him as a friend instead. Nothing but positive things to say about our experience with Will. If you have the opportunity hire him, you will not regret it.

Will was INCREDIBLE!!!! I don't even know where to begin with our amazing engagement session. We chose to go with him after looking at his beautiful photos on Instagram and were so happy we did. Will was professional, communicative and knowledgable from the beginning. He booked an hour long Zoom session to get to know us and took the time to answer all of our questions during the months leading up to the session. He helped to build out our location and the exact spots we wanted to go to. He also helped tremendously with outfits, color scheme, props, etc. When it came to the actual photo shoot session, it was so much fun! This was the first photo shoot for my fiance and I so we were a bit nervous but Will made us feel comfortable and we forgot we were even on camera pretty much immediately. The session flowed so effortlessly and he spent more than enough time to make sure he captured everything and got all of the content he needed. When the full gallery came not even a month later we were shocked at how quickly we got the photos and so excited at how they turned out! The were absolutely STUNNING and captured exactly what we were hoping for. There are so many amazing photos I'm having trouble narrowing down what to use for my save the dates and wedding website! Will is not only extremely talented at photography but I now consider him a friend! He was so accommodating and easy to get along with that it made our entire experience one that we will never forget. I will be recommending him to anyone in need of a photographer for their wedding needs!

Shooting with Will was a dream! I found him totally randomly on Instagram and was obsessed with his work. We were just newly engaged and wanted a photoshoot that reflected our mutual love for the outdoors and Will was the man for the job! Will is the most humble, down to earth, easygoing, hardworking, fun to be around person I've ever met! We shot in some insane locations and it was an all day adventure - including hiking, climbing rocks, etc (while looking fabulous). From start to finish, Will was it. We knew we wanted to work with not only an incredibly creative and talented person, but one that makes you feel like gold on the best day of your life. We found Will through one of our best friends, Seth, another fellow wedding photographer. From booking to week of the wedding, Will was super, super attentive, scheduling regular check-ins with us as we all tried navigating the journey of planning a wedding during a global pandemic. With every check-in, he was calm, collaborative, and super flexible. The process felt like a breeze with him! Then came the wedding day. We had a Thursday wedding - which, granted, isn’t super traditional, but it was much more doable for us. Will agreed to meet us the day before, scope out the venue with us during rehearsal dinner, & then just hung out with us the rest of the night! He was honestly an honorary member of our wedding party. The day of the wedding was nothing but smooth and wildly fun. Will was there to capture it all, from our quirky little greenhouse venue to getting splashed up to his waist trying to capture some of our friends drunkenly jumping into the hotel pool during the reception. He. Did. Not. Miss. A. Beat. Not only was the day of wedding perfect, but Will also turned around a hefty preview album for us literally the week after the wedding so we could spend half of our honeymoon reveling & reliving the most special day. Needless to say, the photos are nothing short of perfect. He captured our fall colors in springtime lighting like a magician. Will is absolutely a one of a kind photographer. He goes above and beyond and exceeds every expectation to give you the exact type of day you want for your elopement. He was able to design our Big Sur elopement day that included everything we asked for and so many other things we never knew we wanted!!! Where do I even begin? We had our dream wedding thanks in huge part to Will. We were not looking to have a traditional wedding, rather something small and intimate, yet elegant and chic. Will immediately understood what we were trying to do and helped us bring the whole day together. From the start, he provided us with a full template on run-of-show, timing, and things to think about that helped tremendously. In this sense, Will took our vision and put on the hat of wedding planner to help us organize our day around that vision. Leading up to the wedding, Will was incredibly responsive, giving us space to plan our day while being available for updates and insight as things moved and changed. The day-of was perfect. Will brings incredible energy and warmth, allowing us to relax and enjoy our day while feeling completely taken care of. He kept track of timing, family members for photos, and gave great direction resulting in the most beautiful photos. Will captured all the candid moments while also curating special ones we will remember forever. He brings the most creative insight that elevated our vision. We've never looked better! Will was the best decision we made for our wedding. We are so grateful to have had him there as photographer and friend.

We are SO SO lucky to have had Will photograph our mini wedding in Yosemite! Not only is he the nicest guy and super fun to hang out with, he is such a talented and dedicated photographer. He was so well prepared and thought of absolutely everything, even before the actual day. He sent us lists of accommodation, what to pack, what to wear etc. On the days we were there, he even brought us water, snacks, headlamps and walkie-talkies. He spared absolutely no effort to help us get the best photos possible, never tiring of helping us find the best light, best poses, best angles etc. Neither my husband nor I are used to being in front of a camera, but he was sooooo patient and made us feel at ease. My husband said that he was afraid that we wouldn’t be able to find a photographer who would be willing to hike to the gnarliest locations with us, but Will had no complaints and was in fact the one leading us off trail to find the coolest spots (lugging all his gear with him too). Will really cares about your experience and no amount of money can buy the amount of love and artistry he puts into his work. The experience was amazing, and the photographs were just stunning. I've had people tell me that they are the most beautiful wedding shots they had seen. I would recommend Will to absolutely anyone.

Will is not only a photographer, but a complete experience! He isn't just a great photographer, but a great person, tour guide, and friend. This guy was not only willing to take our Elopement photos for us but made sure that our experience was bar none the best it could possibly be. Sure his photos are breathtaking and he makes us look AMAZING! But more importantly he made us feel comfortable, beautiful, and was not shy to let us know if we needed change a pose to fit the scene. This guy is the full package when it comes to photographers. He truly came through on all his promises and then some. I could not have wished for a better experience or photographer. If you are looking for a photographer who's photos are A+++ and a guy who can really get to know you and bring out the best in you, than this is your guy!
