Hello I am Emma Wilson. I am so excited to be here because you and I have a shared vision.

I believe that your elopement isn’t just a day – it’s a story waiting to be told. A breathtaking journey, an intimate celebration, an adventure that deserves more than just documentation. My approach goes beyond filming; I create cinematic time capsules that allow you to relive every moment, feeling the emotion, the atmosphere, and the magic all over again. With a story-driven and deeply immersive style, I craft films that don’t just capture where you were but transport you back to how it felt—timeless, beautiful, and uniquely yours

.I am based in the beautiful alpine village of Wengen above the iconic Lauterbrunnen Valley in the heart of Switzerland – perfectly located to film proposals, elopements, intimate weddings and even larger events here and in neighbouring France, Italy and Austria but also throughout Europe and around the world.

As one of Europe’s leading female wedding videographers, storytelling is in my DNA and evolved from working at the BBC for two decades, as a journalist and filmmaker, which taught me a really powerful lesson – that no two stories are the same.

At Story of Your Day, our goal is simple – to document your elopement story in its purest form.

So in essence, I tell stories about people, places and love. Simplicity is key. Discretion paramount. You’ll hardly notice I’m there while I capture your day as it unfolds naturally.

Throughout the whole process we’ll work together on your vision and combine that with my years of experience in the industry. I pride myself on my philosophy of ‘integrity without compromise’ and work hard to achieve the highest level of excellence throughout the whole experience.

I also run a destination management company, The Swiss Concierge, so if Switzerland is on your radar, and why on earth wouldn’t it be, I can help you plan your dream proposal, elopement or intimate destination wedding.

Jungfrau Same-sex Elopement

For our adventure winter wedding it took us ages to find a videographer. Mainly because we wanted to go SKIING in our wedding apparel and of course, we wanted a quality video of that! Not only was Emma able to come with us on ski’s, she also filmed almost every minute of our wedding day! Afterwards she made us the most beautiful wedding video and took the time to make it perfect for us.
