Hi, I’m Lisa – a traveling photographer for the adventurous, bold, and fun! Defying traditions and crushing expectations, one couple at a time!
MY STYLE + APPROACH
Are you super awkward in photos? No worries here, so are 99% of my clients! Also, I, too, literally freeze and make weird T-Rex arms as soon as I see a camera pointed my way, so I know how uncomfortable hours of taking pictures can sound. Because of this, it’s my top priority (in addition to capturing epic shots), to ensure you’re both fully relaxed and having fun during your elopement. This day is about you, and if you’re not having a good time, then the photos will immediately reflect that (a definite lose-lose for both of us).
Beyond fostering a laidback environment, I’m a big fan of direct and open communication, planning for worst-case serious in advance (to eliminate any unexpected stress on your wedding day), and dramatic photos that are bright, colorful, and fully reflect the love and joy of your wedding day.
Some of my favorite places for elopements around Southern California include the beaches (obviously – although it can be tough to avoid crowds), the Angeles National Forest, the San Bernardino Mountains (Big Bear + Lake Arrowhead for a snowy adventure), the hills and small towns around Santa Barbara (Solvang + Los Olivos are two of my fav spots for a weekend trip), and the deserts of Palm Springs, Joshua Tree, and Death Valley.
Having grown up in MA, I came out to Los Angeles for my final semester in film school. While I may have left behind the dreadfully cold New England winters, I held onto my Boston accent and love of the word “wicked.” In 2016, my husband and I eloped privately in Big Sur, CA, so I’m familiar with the struggles of planning an elopement not only as a vendor, but also a bride.
I currently reside in Northeast LA and when I’m not traveling, I’m probably planning my next trip, watering one of my 100+ houseplants, cuddling with my 4 rescue pets (3 cats + 1 jerky dog), or poolside with my husband and friends.
Making the world a better place is extremely important to me, so I frequently volunteer around LA. Also, a portion of every booking is donated to a vetted nonprofit that supports social/environment/animal causes. Further, my elopements follow the practices of Leave No Trace and get all required permits.
My Southern California packages start at $2700 and include:
