Hi! I’m Stacy – the adventure elopement photographer and planner for Outshined Photography. I live in North Bend, Washington, which is in the central Cascade mountains and close to Oregon. I travel to Utah during the cooler months. I am very passionate about helping couples have their unique elopement in nature!! I’m committed to helping you have the wedding day that you’ve always dreamed of…doing what you want…and capturing those special moments that you can reflect upon for a lifetime.

How I can help you elope in Washington, Oregon or Utah –

I love getting to know you and your desires for your perfect elopement.  I enjoy planning all the details for you, so that you don’t need to worry about them. As part of that planning, I help you select your ideal location and you get a detailed, customized elopement timeline and backup options.

Throughout this process, I am a 24/7 resource for you…to help you find your other vendors, plan that special surprise for your partner and determine how to select wedding attire that you can be comfortable in, in nature. I also love planting seeds for exciting activities that you can include in your wedding day, like –

  • biking through the Oregon hills and wine tasting along the way…
  • kayaking at sunrise on an alpine lake…
  • doing yoga on the beach, next to a waterfall, while the sun rises…
  • hiking to a natural arch to watch the stars come out and exchanging your vows in front of the milky way
  • walking through magical slot canyons…
  • hiking through The Narrows and feeling the magic of the epic canyon walls

the ideas are endless!!

When I’m out in nature, I’m always scouting for those special, unique areas that are great for outdoor ceremonies and celebration activities. It’s my goal to find those special locations to give you a mostly private experience for your elopement.

I am a Leave No Trace Aware Photographer and keep the environment top of mind during your elopement. I will help you understand the LNT principles and help you navigate safely through the wilderness. I love sharing information about our surroundings with you while we are adventuring on your elopement day. I will also help you understand what permits are required to have your elopement ceremony in nature.

I am a certified officiant and can help you with the marriage license process and even guide you through the ceremony.

Fun facts about Stacy of Outshined Photography –

I have visited 80% of the National Parks and aspire to see them all.  Zion National Park is my favorite place, followed closely by the 3 national parks in Washington (Mt Rainier, Olympic NP & North Cascades). You’ll find me adventuring in the Pacific Northwest and Western US throughout the year. I love traveling and have traveled all over the world – New Zealand, Tahiti, Fiji, Costa Rica, Europe, Egypt, Virgin Islands and Canada. I look forward to visiting Norway the Faroe Islands, South Africa and Patagonia.

I love open water swimming and bike riding and have completed several triathlons and century (100-mile) bike rides.

During our elopement with Stacy, it felt as though we were the only 2 people on Earth. With her at the helm it felt as though we got to carve out a whole day for ourselves & our best friends as witnesses where the rest of the world just faded away. We didn’t have to stress or to plan anything out. Stacy did all of the leg work, we were able to customize what we wanted, and on the day of- we just showed up. We made sure to look dapper, and trusted her to capture us & our love; she delivered more than we could have hoped. Changing our plans to an elopement felt like the best of both worlds. We didn’t have to worry about the drunk uncle or whom might get along with whom & what people might think of our first dance song or the venue. We got to focus on us & celebrate just us. We’ll plan a celebration with family & close friends at a later date, when it’s safe to do so & we can worry about all that then. However, it feels a whole lot less stressful knowing we’re already married & that we got to spend a whole day with just us & our photographer capturing our love on film. We don’t have any drama stories behind our photos, just laughs and happy tears.

Working with Stacy was absolutely seamless. From her prompt communication in the planning phase, to her timeliness the day of, and the delivery and quality of her images, I am so grateful for the entire experience she provided. This was the first time either of us had any professional photos taken of us, so we were a bit nervous at first. Stacy did an amazing job helping us both feel comfortable and confident throughout the process, while also being hands off enough to let our love shine through the photos. In addition to the beautiful photos she took that we will forever cherish, we genuinely enjoyed the whole process. Even my parter who does not enjoy being in front of the camera speaks fondly of the experience and is so grateful we did this. All in all, Stacy is incredible and you would be fortunate to have her capture your special day.

Stacy was extremely helpful, patient and kind throughout the entire process. When looking for photographers it’s difficult to choose someone. Thus why I am writing this review. If you choose Stacy you won’t be disappointed. The quality of her photos are outstanding. She’s detailed, timely and helps while making decisions on location and timing. Highly recommend!

“Stacy was amazing to work with! Neither I nor my husband had been to the Pacific Northwest and really had no idea where to start when we chose to get married in a whole new place for both of us. We love the new experiences and adventures that come with travel and exploring. We wanted to make the most of our wedding day and Stacy was right there to craft us a perfect itinerary to get the most from our time without feeling rushed or pressured. Everything was perfect. We all spent the day laughing together while celebrating love and new adventures. Hands down I would recommend doing an adventure elopement, and I would 100% recommend Stacy’s work. The photos were beautiful, the locations where whimsical and perfect, and the wedding day plus day after hikes were gorgeous. We will cherish the memories, the photographs that captured the moments, and the experience our whole lives.”

Sarah & Bill

"Stacy is an amazing elopement planner, photographer, and officiant, as well as just being a really thoughtful, cool and fun person to spend the day hiking around Mt Rainier National Park with!

From our first time meeting her, we immediately found Stacy to be warm and friendly, authentic, and easy to talk to. She was an integral part of our planning process, every step of the way. Whether she was providing detailed options on the best elopement locations, scenic hikes and local places to stay, or potential timelines and packing lists, it was apparent how much thought and effort she put into making our day perfect. She also provided us with a list of options for her most trusted wedding vendors in the area. Stacy was incredibly accommodating when we asked her to limit professional use of our photos, as we are very private people, wanting to limit our presence on social media. Stacy was very communicative and always just a text, email or phone call away. Even though she was working with many other clients throughout our 8-month planning process, she always made us feel like we were a priority and was 100% available for us. A few weeks before our wedding day, Stacy even went and hiked out to our ceremony location to ensure that enough snow had melted on the trail for us to safely hike there for our elopement.

Even though we felt like we were just hanging out with a good friend, Stacy was always a true professional, making every effort to ensure that our special day was just that. She beautifully captured each and every meaningful moment of the day, much of the time without us even realizing she was there. Stacy truly thought of everything ahead of time for us so that we could just relax and enjoy our wedding day together. We should also highlight that she is quite mindful of any potential health and safety concerns, as well as protecting the environments we visited.

Whenever we look back and remember our elopement, we often comment on how fortunate we were to have shared the entire experience with Stacy. Her photos will provide us with a lasting way to remember so many of the lovely details from our day. We highly recommend Stacy as an elopement photographer and officiant, and would love to work with her again in the future for another photo shoot."
