First of all,
I am so thrilled that you’re here, on this website, considering an elopement for your best day ever! You’ve decided that you don’t want the stress, or the drama, or maybe even the inauthenticity that so often accompanies big weddings. You’ve chosen intentionality and intimacy, and for that, I say congratulations.
Hi, I’m Marla!
An elopement photographer local to the Pacific Northwest.
Originally from the east coast, I recently relocated to the Seattle area so that I can have access to the locations I know my couples’ love stories deserve to be photographed in– spots with scenic vistas overlooking dramatic coastlines, or tucked away in moss-covered forests. I’m obsessed with the beauty our Pacific Northwest has to offer, though my camera has also traveled with me to 47 states and 30 countries on 4 continents (and is itching for more!)
Travel is what first sparked my love of photography, but once I started taking portraits, everything shifted, and I found a passion for documenting the madly in love.
I might be the right photographer for you if you’re looking for…
- Bright, true colors that will never fall out of fashion
- Photographs that capture moments and memories– not just pretty poses
- Someone to help guide you through the planning process & securing permits
- A girl with a can-do attitude that doesn’t get fazed when Plan A doesn’t work out
- A values-based business with emphases on equity and environmental stewardship
- A life-long photographer with a true love and passion for creating both art and memories
On my website you can find resources like:
- How to elope in Washington State
- How to plan a Mount Rainier elopement

- Elopement timeline tips

And so much more😉
What is our time together like?
It all starts with a few clicks on this page! Once you head to the contact form below, or to my website for more information, you can expect an email response from me in the next two days.
Then we get to know each other, and I learn a bit more about you– whether you recently decided to abandon the big wedding plans and aren’t quite sure where to start, or have known for years now that you just had to get married in that one place that’s most special to you. Hopefully, before booking, we get to speak on the phone so we can connect (I think we’re all missing some connection these days!)
Through the planning process, I help you in whatever ways you need! I can send you vendor recommendations, timeline assistance, outfit best practices, what you’ll need before your big day, advice or emotional support, and guidelines on how your wedding day can Leave No Trace in order to protect the natural environments we love so much!
On your big day, I read the room. I take a more hands-off approach while you’re doing your thing, and I give you space to have your moments and savor them. I try to document your day as authentically as possible, taking care to capture the small details you might otherwise forget. When it comes time for portraits, I guide you in a way that focuses on your connection while making sure you look your best. Even if you’re nervous about taking photos, I promise, you’ll be able to relax and have fun in front of the camera!
I do everything I can to make sure you feel comfortable and valued on your elopement day so that you can focus on the good stuff– the views, the vows, and the moments you’ll never want to end.
So, does that sound good to you?
Then keep scrolling and let me know! Send me a message and I’ll get in touch!
P.P.S. I’ve also been named one of the nine best elopement photographers in Seattle by Peerspace, published in places like What If We Elope and Gay Weddings and Marriage Magazine, if you’re into that sorta thing😉
