Marilia is the absolute best, and we feel so lucky that we got to work with her to capture our wedding. From our first email exchange, we knew that she understood our vision and was just as invested in the project of capturing our 150 person wedding, including extremely large extended families and friends from literally all over the world. The photos are amazing. We look like ourselves, and you can feel the emotion of the day coming through the photographs authentically. We were planning our east-coast wedding from our home on the west coast, and communication and coordination with Marilia was so easy. Her documentary style was a perfect fit for our wedding-- she captured so, so many beautiful moments, with little to no direction from us. And her eye for detail is amazing. For example, my husband and my father both wore distinctive and complementary cuff links-- without any prompting, she managed a gorgeous shot of their shirtsleeves. We opted as well for a package that included a second shooter, her colleague, Larissa. They are a natural match for one another artistically and aesthetically, and we could not be more thrilled with the breadth of the coverage that we got. Marilia helped us to prioritize the wedding experience we wanted-- we really just wanted to bask in the joy and excitement of our friends and family-- while still capturing, in incredible detail, our once-in-a-lifetime event. We are over the moon happy with of photos, and will treasure them as a beautiful reminder of our day forever.

We truly could not have asked for a better photographer than Marilia! We were nervous about getting engagement photos done because
1. we're not a couple who is used to taking pictures & we were nervous that would show and we'd be super awkward
2.we really wanted to avoid super posed images.
Marilia made us feel so at home, and we honestly had a blast! Our photos were AMAZING. Even better than what we were hoping for. I would recommend Marilia every single time!

Wow! Marilia is an incredible artist, and having her share her skills and talent with us for our wedding was a remarkable experience. Marilia captured our wedding day in the most beautiful, elegant light. She was so well organized throughout the entire process, from the weeks prior to sending us a surprise gift after! Our families loved her as well, not only is she professional and poised but she’s also fun! Additionally, the final products are amazing! We have received so many compliments on our photos, many people say they look like they belong in a bridal magazine. We cannot recommend Marilia enough!

I wouldn't change a thing about our experience with Marilia. She gave us a very fair price, which included a lot in the package. She helped coordinate and then shoot a very fun, creative, and personal engagement shoot for us at a movie theater. And leading up to the wedding, she was easy to communicate with, and coordinate with other team members. She captured our wedding so beautifully, and really conveyed the joy that we all felt at the reception. She has such a unique style, both artistic and natural, that often looks like film photos. Highly recommend!!
