We decided early on that we wanted to do an adventure elopement with a non-traditional ceremony. After looking at different options and seeing Kathleen's work and reviews we knew she was the right choice. What we didn't know at the time was exactly how amazing of an experience we had signed ourselves up for.

She was knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and overall impressive every step of the way. We loved the all the options in the original location list she sent after getting to know us and what we wanted to do during our wedding. Unfortunately, a wildfire started weeks before the ceremony and we had to scramble to create another plan last minute. Kathleen was able to find us a new, equally impressive, list of location ideas that met our original desires and updated our timeline. All the other locations that were suggested have been noted for future adventures too.

We finally met her day of and she continued to exceed expectations despite the high bar she had set herself during online communication. Kathleen is warm and easy to be around. It felt like she was genuinely excited to be there with us. She managed a good balance between letting us enjoy ourselves and directing us to capture the moments we wanted documented. Her additional shot suggestions were spot on too. A few essentials were somehow left in cars (bug spray, tissues) and she had them on hand when we realized our folly

And of course, the photos themselves are stunning; top notch skill and artistic style. We can't stop going back to look at them and reminiscing about the perfect day she facilitated for us. Although she's the only adventure elopement photographer we know, it's safe to say she's the best.

Where do I begin??
I am still lost at words with the experience I had with Kathleen.
From day one, Kathleen was extremely involved with the process.
She scheduled a call to personally get to know us and feel out what we were looking for. She constantly reassured us to relax and enjoy each moment.
The reason why Ben and I chose to elope, was to avoid the stress of wedding planning. We both had a very busy summer ahead and our last priority was creating a picture-perfect wedding.

Kathleen sent us simple, yet detailed, questions to create and capture the elopement of our dreams.
She had lots of fun ideas we hadn't even thought of!
Since we had so much communication, I felt like I had known Kathleen forever! So, when the elopement day arrived and my nerves were slightly buzzed, Kathleen waltzed in, and I knew I had nothing else to worry about. She was so kind and thoughtful...she brought me fleece lined leggings because she remembered I get cold easily!! (like whaaat?!)
I hope you're grasping how easy it was to connect with her.
During our elopement she made us both feel so comfortable in front of the camera. I honestly forgot it was there most of the time.
She had the cutest ideas of where to pose and fun movements like running up a small area (the running shots turned out super cute!!)
In 24 short hours, we received DOUBLE what we thought we would in sneak peaks! UGH it just made us that much more excited to view our full gallery.
Once Kathleen sent us our gallery (a few days before she had originally proposed) I was blown away.
She created the cutest sneak peek video that flashed pictures from our day. This built up our excitement.
Upon finally entering our gallery, with tears in my eyes, I was greeted with shivers down my spine.
The pictures were magical. They felt unreal. It was as if I was a drone peering into someone's elaborate dream. (Mine!!)

We had such a great experience with Kathleen! My partner (and now wife) and I were looking to elope during the pandemic. We wanted a fun, sweet, adventurous wedding day. We needed someone who would be a helpful, informative, and confident presence throughout the process and who has a knack for capturing those special moments on camera. Kathleen was a flexible and supportive partner in the process, from working around the logistics we had planned, to encouraging our imaginations for how we could make our special day uniquely ours. Kathleen used her knowledge of the area to recommend several locations based on the ideas we brainstormed and she also provided guidance for the preparation and materials we'd need for the day. Some of our favorite memories of the day--playing board games, exploring the coast, and an impromptu dance party--stem from the inspiration Kathleen gave us that allowed us to be ourselves and celebrate who we are as a couple.

On the day of, Kathleen arrived on time and ready to help, equipped with extra snacks and hand-warmers. She gave suggestions when we asked and otherwise gave us the space to be vulnerable, silly, and focus on one another. Throughout, she was a steady, encouraging, and quiet presence.

We are thrilled with our pictures and how Kathleen captured so many special moments—the emotions on each of our faces, the little ways my partner and I relate to each other, and the beauty of our chosen locations and activities. We especially appreciate the sneak peak Kathleen sent us the day after to help us share our joy with family and friends.

We felt safe and comfortable in Kathleen's adaptable, capable, and competent professionalism, and we would recommend her to all of our friends and family.

Kathleen is THE BEST. When we were looking for an elopement photographer, I stumbled upon her website and was immediately impressed by her photography! The first time we spoke with her on the phone, we knew she was the person we wanted to capture our day. Kathleen was very communicative, and told us exactly what to expect and what we needed to do through every step of the elopement process. She helped us with permits, the marriage, license, and even officiated our ceremony!! She gave us an amazingly thorough list of possible locations (with pictures and pros and cons!) for our elopement, suggested vendors, and even brought coffee the morning of our elopement. On our actual elopement day, she never made us feel rushed and was never pushy when helping pose us for pictures. She was super flexible and so, so fun to just hang out with. She also had absolutely everything under the sun you could possibly need on your wedding day! The sneak peek pictures we've received are INSANE - so beautiful and so memorable. I am beyond ecstatic that we chose Kathleen to document our day. It was truly the best experience and we would truly recommend her to anyone!!!

I cannot gush enough about Kathleen or our incredible photos. Even from the beginning she exceeded every expectation. I figured planning & coordination would be at least a little bit stressful, but she was professional, easy to get ahold of, prompt and made everything simple. We decided to fly up in a tiny plane to Sedona (my husband John is a pilot so this was extra special to incorporate flying somehow).

John and I aren't natural models, but Kathleen made things so fun and we felt relaxed & comfortable in front of the camera. It was incredible to have her as a part of our little adventure. She allowed us to focus on each other and just enjoy the moment, capturing us at our absolute happiest. I felt like a princess and my husband, who usually hates pictures, was having the time of his life. Kathleen directed us just enough so it didn't feel awkward, but kept things natural and candid. She knew all the best spots and took the time to make sure every shot was flattering on us & featured the lovely red rock landscape. When the sun started going down, she had the thought to capture a few pictures of just us & the stars. *Swoon*

I've never experienced anything so personal and I've never been so happy with photos before. Our gallery came quick and the pictures were beyond what I could've hoped for. There wasn't a single one I wasn't in total awe of. We are so grateful Kathleen was with us for this moment of ours and hope to book her for any future adventures life may bring 💕

Kathleen did an absolutely amazing job turning our elopement into a truly unforgettable day. Not only did she take amazing photographs, but she helped with every aspect of elopement planning. I had questions about legal/logistic aspects of elopement and marriage and she was able to answer those questions easily and make my husband and I feel like we were entering the day with confidence.
