You never realize how important this is until you deal with vendors who aren't! Second, she has a true knack for lighting, posing, and capturing the scenery around you. She knows what angles best compliment you and her creative mind allows her to capture the most stunning photos- the ones you see in magazines! She's adventurous and has no fears, which means she's ready to go anywhere: the edge of that cliff, in that freezing cold water, over that chasm, into that cave- you name it, she's up for it! Finally, Julia is genuinely kind. This is very important, as it makes you feel more comfortable in front of the camera. Whether it's your first experience or you are a pro, she dampers the anxiety and makes it an unforgettable and fun experience. It was a pleasure working with such a talented and friendly soul. Julia is truly gifted and such a pleasure to work with! We hired her for an adventure engagement shoot in Big Sur, and she absolutely exceeded expectations! Conditions were cold and windy, and my hair was all over the place, and yet Julia easily delivered countless photos that we love! I had the hardest time choosing which photo to use for our Save-the-Dates because we love them all! My fiance and I don't tend to feel very comfortable in front of a camera, but Julia knew how to direct us so that we looked natural in the photos and felt as comfortable as possible. She also has an amazing vision for composition, and you can just tell she LOVES what she does. She is passionate, and that totally translates into amazing work. It was also super cool for her to include drone shots, gifs, and even blue hour shots with her lanterns. I am so so so happy to say that the photos she captured for us (of us!) are just as magical as the one she has posted on her Instagram of her other shoots. We couldn't have asked for a better session, and we cannot recommend Julia enough!

While we planned our wedding everyone told us, “invest in the photographer, scrimp wherever else but invest in the photographer!” When my now-wife announced that we had selected Julia Goldberg I realized she took that advice to heart. I felt brave one day and asked something like, “but do we need to spend this much on pictures? Will it be that valuable?” Well, anonymous matrimonial planner, let me tell you it absolutely is that valuable and the reason surprised me: my wedding day was a beautiful blur of activities I rarely got time to savor. I wanted the day to last a week but it felt like a flash. Julia captured so much incidental beauty in all these moments I couldn’t connect with. She made permanent perfect memories out of fleeting joys and I am not just satisfied with the pictures she sent us, I am thankful for the experiences she saved. The engagement shoot was an adventure, too, with Julia’s fantastic creativity. She communicates well, she is organized, she is very easy to work with, and for the potentially temperamental brides-to-be out there my lovely (and temperamental) wife would like to mention that Julia is a consummate professional with a Saint’s patience.

Her Instagram is full of great shots with depth and softness and great framing… I don’t have the photography vernacular to really do her justice. And if you suppose she charges too much, mark my words: she doesn’t charge enough.

Julia Goldberg is truly an outstanding photographer! The photos of ones wedding day is one of the most vital things to get right - those photographs are your documentation and memory of the biggest day of one’s life. Finding a photographer who can properly capture and document the day that you say "I do", to me, is the biggest stressor. With Julia, she made our wedding day so easy and stress free. I didn’t have even one concerns about our photos. Her ability to capture the most emotional, intimate moments of our day is far above superb. When you have Julia as your photographer, you can expect professionalism, kindness, suggestion in direction, and a true gift of the final project. Getting our sneak peek made me so excited to know that our full portfolio was going to be brilliant. The cherry on top was that Julia captured our two dogs in our first look with utter perfection. Julia was able to capture our beloved Ravenclaw (German Shepard) and Gryffindor (Black Lab) in some of the cutest Pinterest and Instagram worthy moments. The amount of gratitude I have for Julia is endless.

Literally 10,000 stars isn’t enough to give Julia! We spent an incredible evening adventuring around Iceland with her for our elopement and she was able to capture pure magic. She’s super friendly, professional and communicative throughout the whole process. She even had our full gallery back to us in less than a month!

Julia was an absolute delight!! She was our elopement photographer out in Utah and oh what a day we had shooting together. She had not only picked the locations for us but also had checked them out before we even got there. Julia is a patient photographer. We had some hiccups and she just rolled with it.

Spending a day with out in the park could be a lot but her pleasant personality and great love for her work put us at ease right away. Her deep love for outdoors is quite apparent in her work but we got to see it first hand. Actually it was quite inspiring !!
