Imagine a wedding day with both the adventure of eloping, and the company of your closest loved ones.

If you love the idea of eloping in Asheville, but can’t imagine getting married without your closest loved ones present, you don’t have to sacrifice one dream for the other!

I’m Erin, your Asheville-based photographer and elopement planning expert.

My mantra is to get married in a place that feels like home, with the people who make you feel at home. There’s nothing I love more than helping couples create a more personal wedding day, where you can be fully present with each other and the people you love most. Imagine standing in front of each other, breathing in the crisp mountain air, taking in the views, and then sharing your vows while listening to the sounds of nature around you – I don’t think it could get any more perfect than that.

Visit my website at Eringirouard.com for elopement planning resources, and to read more about working with me! I can’t wait to plan your dream elopement day here in the Blue ridge Mountains!

Hands down the best photographer I've had the chance to work with! Erin has such a warm and bubbly personality, we felt right at home with her the minute we met. So many people have complimented our portraits and wondered how long we had known her because our images were just so natural and felt like they were captured by a fly on the wall - not someone we just met! Erin was able to guide us in SO many aspects, from helping choose a location (and knowing what steps we needed to take in order to secure it), to pivoting on the spot when it unexpectedly rained on our elopement day. Erin's editing style is so beautiful, our images are going to age so well as she keeps true to nature's colors - which is exactly what we were looking for in a photographer. Editing trends come and go but finding a photographer who is truly an artist should be the top of your list. If you are looking for a photographer to capture candid moments as well as direct you in poses - she is your girl! Her pricing is very visible on her website, and she will also provide a full itinerary/calendar for your event (which you don't really think you will need for an elopement - but turns out you do). My only regret was not booking for a longer time frame on the day of our elopement - but just a great excuse to renew our vows sooner rather than later (10% because I love my husband, 90% because I want to spend more time in front of Erin's camera). 10/10 would recommend!

Brides! One of the most valuable investments you will make in your elopement is hiring a photographer who can capture the essence, the feeling, the magical details of your day that you and your family will get to experience again and again for the rest of your lives. Hiring Erin was the best decision we made for our wedding, her presence is so warm and comfortable, like family. She has a way of quietly documenting the details, reactions, and most genuine moments that I wouldn’t have even known happened if it wasn’t for her. Nothing felt posed, forced, or like it took away from the intimacy of the moment, which really blew me away. Her art is a gift your family will cherish forever!

Brett and I were in the middle of planning a big wedding in Hawaii that was going to bring together both our families from Alaska and PNW of the USA and Australia for the first time. Then 2020 hit and we realized this wouldn’t be able to happen anytime soon. We began thinking we would go to the registrar’s office to sign our marriage license and then have our big celebration in a couple of years. I began looking at photographers in CLT, considering a nice photoshoot to celebrate our marriage even without the big wedding we had planned. I found Erin on Instagram and fell in love with her style of photography and the backgrounds of all the photos I saw. They reminded me of where I was living in the Dandenong Ranges in Victoria and I knew then that Brett and I were going to be able to celebrate our marriage with the “traditional” wedding we had imagined just with fewer people present. I reached out to Erin when I arrived in the US, giving us only 6 weeks until our ideal wedding date, and she made the whole process so simple that I felt zero stress throughout the planning. I had no idea what we needed to do to make sure our marriage was legal, I didn’t know my way around NC and wouldn’t have been able to find the “dream” locations without her guidance. Erin helped us timeline the whole day to make sure we had our ceremony at a time that we could have all of my friends and family from Australia on a livestream, have some downtime with those in attendance at a picnic and still have our own private time to hike and get some amazing portraits. The day before our wedding the forecast was thunderstorms and lots of rain! Erin was so comforting when I called her the night before, she found an alternate location for our picnic that was undercover and sent me through a list of backup locations for the ceremony and portrait session. When the time came, we were lucky to beat the storm but I felt so at ease knowing that we had multiple options if we needed to move. When we received our sneak peaks and gallery we were shocked and so happy with everything Erin produced. Our family and friends are still complimenting us on our photos and we are so excited to start hanging them up around our new apartment. After 3 years in a long distance relationship we are ecstatic to finally have such amazing photos together that we can put on display and share with our loved ones. Erin not only made us so at ease in front of the camera and provided us with beautiful photos to remember our wedding day with, she also helped make the day run smoothly and was so important in the planning of our elopement, I couldn’t have done it without her.
