Hi!!!

I’m Diane, the owner and artistic photographer of Diane Nicole Photography. I am located in a small-not-so-small town in northern California called Chico.

Sierra Nevada Beer, have you heard of it? That’s where it’s made and it’s my home town. I feel like that’s always been the way I’m able to geographically describe where Chico is. It’s also something us Chicoans are pretty proud of and gives me a chance to brag.

I was a wanderer. I lived in Florida for a long time. I traveled and learned to surf and can honestly say that the ocean is where my heart will always wander back to. I also lived in Lake Tahoe and fell in love with snowboarding and paddle boarding. There is something so special about that lake and the people there. I feel these places bring such like minded folks into my world and I have been blessed to be able to photograph people in the places that they hold so dear.

I can’t tell you in a short story why I love photography so much. It could be because every session or wedding I capture tells a story. They’re always unique and I can always relate to wanting to capture the in-between moments. Those moments I personally would hope someone could unobtrusively see and freeze in time.

I feel that as a photographer that’s where I shine. I can sense those intimate moments, the tender connections, that loving gaze we all cherish about one another and snap it into an image forever.
