Regal Elopement Inspiration at a Castle in Abruzzo, Italy

Italy elopement styled session

Photographer: Irina Odoardi Photography

Session: Styled Elopement

Location: Castle of Roccascalegna, Abruzza, Italy

From the Photographer:

“The idea of this styled Italy elopement photoshoot was born from the choice of the location. It is a historic medieval castle that had been abandoned for many years and only recently opened as a museum.

We had a unique possibility to organize a shoot in this special location in the heart of Abruzzo region in Italy. Being lucky to live in this still unknown region of Italy I always aim at showing its uniqueness and beauty in my shoots and how perfect it is for adventurous elopement.

I think the whole idea of eloping is about being far away from crowds and mainstream, that is why it is always interesting to find such unique and secret locations. The castle is situated on top of a hill overlooking the snowy peaks of Abruzzo mountains.
To balance the rough textures of the castle stone we chose a very tender and elegant style for the bride and groom and the decor.”
