About This Styled Adventure
“We did an adventure elopement styled shoot in the rain. We wanted to fit in hiking, adventure vibes, and a free-spirited, boho bride. The couple started their elopement with their favorite coffee. Then, we went to the woods for photos in the rain. We created a hiking-themed flat-lay photo of all their details of the day. We also got them a cake with their favorite saying to each other as a couple on it, ‘Sirius, Icarus, Space.'” [Ally, the photographer]

Planning Your Elopement in a New Jersey Park
“No permit is needed in Thompson Park! All you need is to reserve a picnic area if you want to invite guests.
Get CREATIVE! New Jersey is not known for elopements, so get creative, make it unique, and use your imagination to craft a whole special day experience for you two. For Rachel and Jarred, we started the day at James Brew coffee shop in Jamesburg for them to get their favorite coffee before the photos. Then, we made sure to bring all sentimental items and elopement day details to take a beautiful flat lay photo at the park. Incorporate anything you want, and have fun with it!
Bring all the items you have in mind for great photo opportunities to the location that you want to incorporate in the photos in a beautiful nature backdrop. At the end of the elopement photos, Rache and Jarred ended the day with a picnic at the top of the hill so they could enjoy their cake together. It made for a memorable moment and epic photos with the woods landscape as the backdrop.” [Ally, the photographer]

About The Couple
“Rachel and Jarred are a testament to that and have been inseparable since. Rachel is a burst of energy and so much fun to be around. She knows how to laugh, have fun with whatever she’s doing, and she loves Jarred with her whole heart. Jarred is more shy and calm, which is the perfect balance to Rachel’s energy. Working with them was not only fun, but memorable and meaningful. They’re so kind, and just so happy to be in love with one another.” [Ally, the photographer]
Details We’re Loving
“The rain. We captured the love on their elopement day in the romantic mood of rain. Rain gives the best vibes for moody photos and cinematic aesthetics. Also, they had a specially curated cake that said, ‘Sirius, Icarus, Space.’ That is their unique thing Rachel and Jarred say to each other. It is because when they were dating and they wanted something special to say to each other, Rachel was tired of basic phrases like, “I love you to the moon and back.’ So, they created their own special phrase for each other, and celebrated that on their elopement cake.” [Ally, the photographer]
Memorable Moments
From the photographer:
“It was definitely the way that Rachel and Jarred lock eyes with each other. The way they look into each other’s eyes, in real life and captured in the photos, shows how much they love each other. There were multiple times during the elopement when they would simply look into each other’s eyes, and they became the best photos simply by how powerful it was. Those were special moments turned into deep emotional photos.”
Final Words of Advice
“The day you get married should not only be unique and special, but you two should have fun together. Crafting a special elopement experience allows the couple to curate it to their vision, make it fun for them, and have an amazing and memorable experience they can share together. It should be about the couple, and their love. Everything else is just add ons. I think elopements are truly special because when there is minimal people, details, and fuss, the couple can truly have fun and focus on what matters, the marriage and sealing their lives together.” [Ally, the photographer]
