Moody, Desert Elopement Inspiration in Anza Borrego Desert State Park, Southern California

elopement photoshoot in California

Photographer: Love & Elopement Photography

Session: Styled Elopement

Location: Anza Borrego Desert State Park, Southern California

From the Photographer:
“A styled elopement photoshoot inspired by the necessity to accept love of all kinds, and celebrated in an adventurous spirit, with no rules, however, your heart feels is best. Brought to us by world-wide popular musical festival, Coachella, and the unique souls it attracts that align with the above values. Liss & Cait share matching yin(g)-yang tattoos to symbolize the light and darkness in their relationship. I wanted their bouquets to symbolize this as well. Liss with the ‘yang’ tattoo, carried the lighter posey bouqet, flower crown and wore vibrant purple extensions. Cait, with the ‘yin’ tattoo, symbolizing shadows and femininity, carried the moody “S” shaped bouquet.

The yin-yang, light and dark, bright desert and moody sunset, same-sex couple– all symbolize that the feeling of love is unconditional. Our life experiences, challenges, religious or political affiliations, gender and sexuality do not change what it feels like to experience love. And surely deserves to be celebrated however the hell you want. So if that’s along a desert highway and canyon cliff-side, go for it!”
