About This Elopement

“Maddalena and Davide love Ibiza, it’s their place in the world. They spent the most beautiful moments on this island, and they decided to crown their love in the most mystical place on the island, Es Vedra, a place considered magical because it is in a very precise position between the coordinates of the earth.” [Roberto, the planner]

Planning Your Elopement at Es Vedra

“The place is called Es Vedrà and it is special because it is located in the middle of precise coordinates of the earth that create a magical energetic point. It is a public place and it is not possible to book the space for this reason it is recommended for an elopement.

For those who want to create a ritual that can enhance the aspect of contact with nature, this location is perfect.

Plan your elopement during the week, so there is less chance of finding tourists around.” [Roberto, the planner]

Deciding to Elope

“Our decision to get married in Ibiza, just the two of us, stemmed from Maddalena’s lifelong dream of having an unconventional wedding in a unique location. Ibiza has been an inspiring destination for us for many years. We’ve visited a couple of times, and the island’s energy has always captivated us.

The planning process took about a year, during which RoRas Destination Weddings guided us every step of the way. First, we chose the location (Es Vedrà), as it is undoubtedly our favorite spot on the island, one we feel deeply connected to. Next, we met Vanesa Caina Rodriguez, our celebrant, who worked with us to craft the ceremony through multiple video calls. The photographer, Dario Sanz Padilla, was also essential to the success of the event. We couldn’t have chosen someone more professional or knowledgeable about the area. Lastly, the stunning setup and floral arrangements by Roberto completed the experience perfectly.

The total cost of the wedding was approximately €3,000.” [The couple]

About The Couple

“The couple decided to have an elopement in Ibiza because it was an important place where they created an even stronger bond. Getting married here meant consolidating this bond. It is as if this island had imprinted an even deeper love in their hearts. So it was important to find a place that could express all this energy. From the very beginning, I understood what would be important for the couple: The intimacy of the ritual, which transformed into a dialogue of love. The ritual of the sand combined with that of the red ribbon gave moments of unique emotion.” [Roberto, the planner]

Memorable Moments From This Elopement

From the Planner:

“When they said their vows and told a particular moment that tied them to the island and the moment when the celebrant during the red ribbon ritual asked the couple to close their eyes and place their hands on their hearts. The sound of the wind and the sound of the sea in the background and they seemed to be transported to another dimension. A scene that moved me.”

From the couple:

“During the ceremony: the ‘red string’ ritual. It was an incredibly emotional and intimate moment when the celebrant tied our rings with a red thread as a symbol of our love, present, and future. While we knew the event would be special, the emotions we felt exceeded all our expectations. Being alone created a unique and unrepeatable intimacy.”

Final Words of Advice

“An elopement is completely different from a wedding with guests because the couple really becomes the center of everything and for this reason, the ceremony becomes the most important part. Create something unique.” [Roberto, the planner]
