For as long as I can remember, I’ve had a fixation with the idea of beauty – the way the light from a sunset could turn a field of hay into a fiery spectacle, or a strand of hair into an intricate play on warmth and depth. I’ve forever chased the feeling of contemplation and nostalgia that comes with such beauty. I’ve run from one end of the globe to the other in the hopes of capturing it in some way or another; trying as best I can to hold on to something intrinsically ephemeral and transitory. In my mid-twenties, photography became a natural ally in my quest, allowing me not only to capture a moment, but a feeling. I’ve been on the hunt ever since.
Needless to say, the years I spent travelling and frolicking in the countryside have had a tremendous impact on the way I seek, perceive and capture beauty. Whenever I can, I try to get my couples outside and interacting with natural landscapes. After all, few things mirror the strength, fragility and singularity of love with the precision and grandiosity of a stunning landscape.
I want your story to be captured with the delicate poetry and light of a movie or dream; honing in on the texture and grain of your chemistry, on the blurry edges of your collected momentos and memories. My years studying film, fine arts and photography have no doubt had an impact on the way I look at photographic narration and storytelling. But fundamentally, no academic understanding of aesthetic and light can truly teach you the importance of genuine trust between a photographer and the people she captures. That’s why I put your ease and comfort at the very heart of our time together, creating a relaxed and safe space for a couple to feel vulnerable and natural. Only then can I have the privilege of witnessing and documenting your truest chemistry; the succession of tiny moments and unsaids that have made you choose one another in the first place.
If you’re curious about straying away from traditional wedding photography and you’re looking for a creative rendition of your special day that’s just as unique and intricate as your relationship is, I would love to hear from you.
“HOLY CANNOLI, YOU’RE GETTING MARRIED! You’re about to embark on one of the most amazing, fantastic, whirlwind experiences of your life. YOU ARE GETTING FRICKEN’ MARRIED TO YOUR DANG SOULMATE. You are committing yourselves to each other and that is a HUGE deal. This is honestly one of the biggest decisions of your life, marriage isn’t easy and planing a wedding is DEFINITELY not easy. It doesn’t matter if you are planning the cutest-most-adorable intimate wedding at a really funky, fun, offbeat venue in Brooklyn. Or, declaring your love to each other in a mossy valley under a waterfall surrounded by mountains in Iceland with only the two of you. It still takes planning and planning is hard. This is where I come in like a Knightess in fricken’ armor.
Hey there, I’m Steph! I’m an Adventure Elopement & Intimare Wedidng photographer based in both Iceland & Brooklyn. (SAY WHAT!!) My couples are offbeat, adventurous, quirky, and comfortable getting dirt in their shoes and windswept hair. Their weddings are a celebration of their love and not just another event. They want to have fun during their wedding, laugh at all of the weird shit that happens throughout the day, and stuff their faces with pizza afterwards. They also for sure are not looking for the typical boring photography and want something a bit more spicy.
I drink too much coffee (2 French presses a day, YIKES), eat too much cheese, and believe in having the most fun with what I do.
I get my clients let down their awkward and feel comfortable in front of my camera.
I am obsessed with volcanos and sea cliffs.
I will want to see photos of your cats. I will want to see your doggo.
I will also probably crack a few too many dad jokes.
I have been documenting weddings for going on 13yrs. with over 250 under my belt. This ain’t my first rodeo.
I have been adventuring for Destination Weddings for the past 6yrs.
My story is a pretty fun story, remind me to tell you some of it as we adventure along together. And, remind me to tell you when Bradley Cooper screamed at my face. Or when Amanda Palmer was naked in my car in Iceland.”

I’m Jenny. I started shooting weddings through my work as a photojournalist and editorial photographer. My Grandma and Uncle were both photographers. I still vividly remember my 1st darkroom experience at the age of 5. I started shooting with a manual 35mm camera when I was 14. I was a little skater kid who hung out in the East Village. I shot mosh pits and triple ollies and figured out how to get press passes for Beastie Boys concerts.
I graduated The School of Visual Arts with a BFA in Photography and started shooting for the New York Times and for Travel Magazines. My serious wanderlust and curiosity about other cultures has brought me all over the world. One of my greatest photographic accomplishments was a Photo Documentary project I did on the Tibetan Diaspora. I was very fortunate to exhibit that work and have His Holiness the Dalai Lama attend the opening. He held my hand as we walked through the exhibition.
My days are filled with playing with my 2 beautiful daughters, who show up on my Instagram all the time. In the warmer months, I love gardening and tending for our backyard chickens.
