About This Styled Glamping Elopement in Acadia

“Brett and Marc had a styled elopement in Acadia National Park! Their day began getting ready and first look glamping at Terramor Resort. They drove to their ceremony location and took an easy hike through the woods to a remote location on the cliffs of the Atlantic Ocean to say their ‘I do’s’ for their ceremony. Then they drove their Walden Campervan to another beach and read letters from their guests while they enjoyed their charcuterie board and pizza. They finished the day hiking to the top of a mountain to watch the sunset and hiked down with lanterns. It was a full day adventure elopement where they could relax and explore beautiful Acadia National Park doing what they love together.” [Corey Lynn, the photographer]

Planning Your Elopement at Acadia

“As long as you have less than 10 people, you don’t need a permit in Acadia National Park. Since this was only the couple, there was more flexibility. If you are planning on more than 10 people, visit Acadia NPS. Since you are eloping in the park, my recommendation is to keep your guest list small (15 max) as you are in the great outdoors and will have less impact on the environment. Staying on the trails and durable surfaces (rocks) are the way to go to have less impact on vegetation.” [Corey Lynn, the photographer]

Top Tips Eloping Here

“Acadia receives millions of visitors every year, especially during summer and fall as it’s so incredibly gorgeous. With this in mind, I always recommend eloping during the week at sunrise and off-season if you want to ensure you don’t have tons of people around. Plus the light at sunrise is gorgeous. Acadia is the furthest Northeast and is known for its incredible sunrises.” [Corey Lynn, the photographer]

  • Wear comfortable hiking shoes or sneakers
  • Be prepared for any type of weather (rain gear, warm jacket or shawl)
  • Pack snacks and water
  • Bring headlamps if you set out before sunrise or after sunset
  • Carry all your gear in a backpack if you plan on hiking.

Details From This Session

Cory Lynn tells us the best way to style your elopement is to look at your environment to choose colors that either blend or contrast with the landscape to influence your attire, florals and so much more. Wearing comfortable clothing will make you feel like a million bucks, especially pants that stretch if you plan on hiking.

“Getting ready in glamping tents at Terramor gave it that luxury camp style and feeling. I love that this couple chose to elope alone, but included elements of their loved ones by reading love letters. They had an all day elopement which allowed them time to not rush, relax and enjoy their day. They drove the van to the beach to have a picnic and a relaxing afternoon. Their campervan was so cozy and easy to park. The perfect vehicle to pull up at the beach and spend some time together while enjoying a yummy charcuterie board.” [Corey Lynn, the photographer]

Advice For Your Elopement

“Stop and take breaks when you are hiking and take in the scenery. This is also a wonderful opportunity for photos and take in your environment. If you want to include your dog in your ceremony, they have to be leashed. When you plan your trip to Acadia, spend time, plan hikes and visit the Abbe Museum, one of the many highlights of this beautiful area. I provide all my couples with an area location guide of hiking trails, restaurants, accommodations, and more!” [Corey Lynn, the photographer]
