Session: Engagement

Location: Bonneville Salt Flats, Utah

“Christie and Brandon’s engagement session was part of [a workshop] excursion in Salt Lake City this year. As you can see, they are absolutely adorable together… AND braved the January cold to create these images!

Most of my weddings and sessions are in the city (I’m based in Chicago), so this is an alternative vibe for me. The salt flats were covered in water, even though the temperature was below freezing. The scenery made for some really unique portraits, as did the changing weather! Our shoot began at sunrise and the sky became hazy as time went on, ending with a pop of sun. Christie and Brandon kept each other warm and we had an absolute blast!

This session has a dreamy, carefree vibe with a fashion-forward couple. I think it’s great inspiration for adventurous couples looking to capture their love in a unique environment.”
