I don’t even know where to begin in my praise of Miki. From the planning right down to the execution, she made every step of our elopement feel so seamless, stress free, and magical. She was so patient with us during the planning process and had such a wonderful way of making us feel seen and heard during the collaborative process. Her extensive knowledge of the Oregon coast was honestly so helpful in finding the perfect locations to fulfill our elopement fantasies. Leading up to our wedding day we felt so relaxed and confident because of Miki’s excellent communication and attention to detail. The day of our elopement we kept telling her that we felt like the main characters of a movie because she made us feel so at ease in front of the camera. And when we got our sample gallery only a day later we were STUNNED at how beautiful the photos came out. Literally something out of a fairytale. We had so much fun hiking around with her that by the end of it we wanted to be best friends with her. She even went above and beyond and offered to take us tide pooling the morning after our wedding because she knew we had an interest in it and wanted to pick her brain some more without being on a timeline. If you have time in your elopement day to go tide pooling with Miki you 100% should because it was SO FUN and we learned so much from her! Needless to say she made our elopement experience fun, relaxed, and MAGICAL! Seriously could not recommend her more! Thank you so much Miki!!! <3

Miki was AMAZING! I researched photographers for our elopement for months and am thrilled we went with Venturing Vows. From the planning and the day-of experience, to the final images, I couldn’t be more pleased. Though she lives in Oregon, she knew everything about Olympic National Park which was SO helpful considering we live across the country and had never been there before. She gave us several timeline options for our day and even had backups in case things needed to be changed last minute. She provided lots of fun biology facts about all of our surroundings in ONP which was super interesting. I don’t believe we could’ve gotten anywhere near the amount of information from any other photographer. She was like a walking textbook! She communicated clearly and promptly throughout the whole process and was helpful with vendor recommendations. I highly recommend hiring Miki as your photographer. You will not regret it!

When we were originally looking to elope on the Oregon coast, we were initially attracted to the more popular spots you see online...but we soon found Venturing Vows and were immediately drawn to her emphasis that she could take us to places that were even better and more remote (being a local herself). We don't regret it a bit -- Miki was amazing. She helped us plan an amazing day unique to our interests, guided us through beautiful recommendations to choose from, and even advised us on spots to see for the remainder of our trip on the coast.

Within a day she had a handful of pictures to us so that we could start to share and break the news to family and friends. Ours was a 6 hour package, it was a wonderful day with just us and Miki finding beautiful spots, making the pictures our own, and having a great guide along the way.

Sure, you can go to Secret Beach or Natural Bridges...or you can go with Miki and find something unique, beautiful, and true to you as a couple that's even better.

We love our pictures and we loved our elopement! Thank you Miki for an adventurous day that truly reflected us as a couple and avoided the cookie-cutter mold.

Miki is amazing!! I could not recommend anyone higher. My husband and I were totally unsure of how we wanted to get married - we knew a traditional wedding didn’t suit us, but we also didn’t want to simply go to the courthouse either. We had no idea an adventurous elopement was even an option until we found Miki. The experience she creates is SO much more than photos. We had a well thought out, perfectly planned, romantic, relaxing, super fun day that we will never forget. Miki sent us a detailed timeline beforehand and coordinated all locations / meet up spots day-of. We were both a bit nervous, having never gotten photos before and thinking we would likely be in a public setting, but Miki made everything so natural and fun and we were totally shocked at how empty the gorgeous spots were that she took us to. She knows the southern OR coast like no one else!! During the day she even taught us little things about the wildlife we were seeing and the marine layer, what a fun little bonus! We would not do our wedding day any differently. And the PHOTOS. We picked Miki because we loved her style of pics, but she totally blew away our expectations. I still get goosebumps when I look at them. If you’re on the fence, I truly don’t see how anyone could regret the decision to elope with Miki… do it!!

Venturing Vows is the real deal when it comes to all things elopement photography to give you the most beautiful keepsakes of your wedding day!! We knew we wanted to elope on the Oregon Coast/Redwoods, however, being from Tennessee we had no idea where to start. Initially when I was planning my first call with Miki I anticipated I would come up with a plan and she would show up and take photographs. I have planned and worked many weddings but did not want to be hands on for my own planning process... I wanted to show up and have things fall right into place and because of Miki's attention to detail, passion for her clients and photography, and knowledge of all things Oregon Coast I was able to do just that. After discussing our preferences and desires for the day she provided us with choices of locations and a timeline. It was FLAWLESS. I never felt rushed because even though we were a little behind she never let it impact our day. OUR PHOTOS ARE BETTER THAN I EVER IMAGINED THEY COULD BE! Miki is such an artist behind the camera and really did amazing at capturing the essence of our day and love for each other. The best part is she allowed us to do our thing and we didn't have too much "posing" so the day still felt very intimate. I would hire Miki again and again if I had a choice.

We also worked with Bob to officiate our ceremony and he did an amazing job of tailoring it to be exactly what we wanted. My husband and I put a big emphasis on our ceremony wanting it to be intentional and a reflection of our goals and what marriage means to us, and Bob didn't fall short. He gave us options on the tone (more serious, funny, or both) and I chose more serious with a little added humor, and he nailed it!

Without Miki and Bob I can guarantee our day wouldn't have been as memorable as it was! <3 Thanks for everything you did to make it perfect (for us)!

Miki at Venturing Vows made the elopement process from across the country so easy. She really knows her way around the OR coast and how to photograph it so well. Miki didn’t bat an eye when we changed our ceremony location 2 times, made our day feel relaxed despite all the places we went and didn’t rush us when we wanted to hike the whole trail just to see it. Miki is a font of nature knowledge for that area as well so you’re sure to pick up some cool facts while she has got you laughing and smiling for your photos. Our day was everything that we hoped it would be and Miki was a big part of that. Miki is so friendly and kind and she even remembered that we had hoped to find some agates on our trip there and sent us a little wild one she found! All in all, we had a great experience and love our photos.
