Hey, I’m Steven!

I’m a wedding and portrait photographer with a passion for people and film photography.

I’m also a dad! My wife Amanda and I welcomed our son Jasper (named after the national park) into the world back in 2019. I feel so incredibly thankful and lucky that I married the woman of my dreams and now get to raise this amazing little dude with her.

We currently live in Atlanta, Georgia along with our ridiculous and awesome cat Bob. I’m originally from Calgary and have dual citizenship with the US and Canada. I fell head over heels for Banff and the Rockies on our honeymoon ten years ago and I’m so grateful to be able to photograph there now. I travel back to Alberta as often as possible and love that I can call both places home!

I’m a big nerd about a lot of things – especially analog and film photography. I worked for 9 years in a photo lab and camera store and received my BFA in photography. These days, I still develop my own film and help out at a local lab.

I’m happiest walking and hiking and getting to explore a place both in nature and in cities. While I’m an old punk rock and hardcore kid, I love music of all kinds. I’m always on the lookout for a good cup of coffee and think breakfast food is the best food (we had a brunch buffet at our wedding).

For me, being able to photograph the moments and people in someone’s life is an incredible privilege.

I believe that everyone deserves to have the joy in their life captured and would love to get to know you!

Steven and his wife Amanda were AMAZING photographers- a dream to work with! While planning our destination wedding in Banff National Park, Steven was prompt with communication and helpful with recommendations of locations for photos and the proper attire to wear for the mountain terrain. We loved being able to video chat with them prior to the wedding and working out the final details of the big day- their personalities are so upbeat and friendly they definitely put us at ease even before meeting in person.
The day of the wedding they arrived early and were prepared for shooting in the rain- which was definitely appreciated because it turned out to be a very cold and rainy day! The preview of photos we have seen already is enough for us to want to work with them again! Highly recommend, will not be disappointed.
