We booked Shawna for our Dolomites elopement/micro wedding and it was everything we wanted and more. She captured our entire day SO beautifully and we can't be more grateful. From the first meeting to the wedding day, every thing went so easy and seamlessly. We had a few google meet meetings with her and as well as email communication. It was very easy to talk to her and get a hold of her when needed during our planning process. She listened to all of our requests and delivered on every single one of them! We knew we wanted her as our photographer because of how well she captures not only the couple but the landscape. And she did just THAT! She was so understanding and even took extra time out of her day prior to the wedding to scout a ceremony location as we wanted everything to be as raw as possible. She even sent previews as early as the day after the wedding! We cannot thank her enough and will cherish these photos forever.

My partner and I did a shoot with Shawna on the Belgian coast in De Haan. From the photos on Shawna's website we could see that this is an extremely talented photographer, not one of those that you have a dime in a dozen, but really the best of the best, de crème de la crème. The shoot itself was super fun and not at all awkward. Shawna had original ideas and told us exactly what we could do. The relaxed atmosphere also allowed her to take a lot of spontaneous photos and capture us as a couple as who we really are. It's also really nice to talk to her during the shoot, she has tons of experience and has already been a bit all over the world. Despite the fact that I knew she was incredibly talented, I fell off my chair looking at the photos. Wow. I was going to be happy if there was one beautiful photo, but I got all beautiful photos and believe me, this is completely Shawna's credit. Everyone around me congratulated me with the beautiful photos, from family and friends to colleagues. The photos are an invaluable gift to us, something we will cherish forever. When my girlfriend told me she organised a photography session for us on the streets of Lisbon, I was a little bit shocked and quite nervous. I have never done such a thing before and didn't know how to pose or pretend I'm comfortable. Well, no need for that - as soon as we met with Shawna I felt completely relaxed! She is such a nice person and really makes you feel like she's just a friend randomly taking photos. I don't know how, but two hours with her just flew by and now we're left with such a nice experience and even more incredible photos! I can't believe how beautiful we look on them😊 Shawna, thank you so much for this opportunity, we appreciate it a lot, we will be showing these photos proudly to our grandkids in the future😅 Really, we never thought we would feel so comfortable during a photoshoot and that the result will be so amazing! Shawna was very communicative, checked in on us often, and answered all of our questions with clear answers. She worked hard to make sure we had the perfect day, and was a perfect balance between decisiveness and giving us options.

We chose to go with Shawna because we fell in love with her portfolio and the way she encapsulated each couples true love story. Fast forward to “the day”, all of that came to life and we saw how meticulous, mindful, and thoughtful she was in capturing the story of our relationship. Every detail, whether crucial or seemingly insignificant, was brought together into a perfect day that celebrated us.

As far as the days events and how we felt in front of the camera…we are terrible at posing for any photos, but despite this Shawna made us feel so comfortable, and confident, and we were able to be ourselves without worrying about what we were doing or where our hands were (if you know you know)

Shawna sent us a sneak peek the next evening and we were in awe..just speechless. It validated our desire to skip a traditional wedding and elope in a country, a place, that was so special and so beautiful. An entire year of planning with backlash from our entire family, became worth it in the end when we experienced a day we will never forget. The photos were pure magic, and we have no doubts that we made the right decision.

Due to weather conditions, we weren’t able to do some of our original locations but Shawna quickly pivoted and offered wonderful solutions that turned out to be better than we could have imagined. The locations for our shoot included Alpe di Suisi, Santa Cristina and Passo Gardena.

I first got in touch with Shawna through my cousin who knew her in Canada. It turned out we were both about to move to the same city in Belgium! I was preparing for my wedding in Positano, Italy and needed a photographer. My cousin got us in contact and I immediately knew Shawna was the photographer for us. From the very beginning she was so warm, kind, accommodating and professional. What started as Shawna being our photographer turned into her being a good friend. Since she is so personable, she makes you feel so comfortable while she’s taking your photos. I usually hate taking pictures but with Shawna it was so fun and natural, which shows in the photos! We couldn’t have had a better photographer and friend join us on our big day! We will forever be grateful to Shawna for capturing the best memories of our life so far.

We had a 3-day elopement adventure and it was just unreal. We’d only been to Switzerland once before and had no clue where to even start with planning. But somehow, in all the craziness, everything turned out PERFECT thanks to Shawna. From the first message, she just got us. Super chill, totally on top of everything, and knew all the spots that really matched our vision. We were so stressed and chaotic…but she helped calm us down, and made the exact experience we were looking for.

She was so flexible with dates (bless), helped us with the daily schedules, and honestly ended up becoming more of a friend than just our photographer. Not even kidding — by day two we already were inviting each other to crash on our couches.

Her husband, Harry, joined us to do some instagram videos and fly their drone. He was also such a pleasure to have, and we got some amazing footage out of it! We’re honestly phone addicts, so we wanted to make sure we spent this time truly TOGETHER, aka without our phones. And Harry helped us keep our phones away by making the craziest reels for us that we could send to our family and friends back home. And with the two of them, we didn’t even feel the need to be on phones at all; we had so much fun with them, and also found moments of so much peace with just the two of us together.

Also — and this is huge — we’re normally the definition of awkward in front of a camera. Like, deer-in-headlights, “what do we do with our hands” awkward. But somehow we felt completely comfortable. I absolutely bawled my eyes out when I saw the sneak peeks!

If we could give 100 stars, we would. Just book Shawna. Seriously. You’ll thank yourself later

Where do I even begin? Shawna was an absolutely incredible photographer and a huge part of what made our proposal so magical. From our very first conversation, her clear communication, thoughtful guidance, and genuine enthusiasm made us feel like we were in the very best hands.

Planning a surprise proposal can be stressful, especially when it involves helicopters and remote locations, but Shawna made the entire experience seamless. She went above and beyond – helping me pick the perfect spot to pop the question, and even guiding us in choosing the right helicopter company to take us on a private tour and land in a secluded, breathtaking location. It was more than I ever imagined – and she helped make it happen.

Her photography skills are unbelievable. The images she captured of our proposal and the moments after are absolutely stunning – beautifully composed, emotional, and timeless. These are photos we will treasure for a lifetime. She also has a real gift for making people feel at ease in front of the camera. Neither of us are used to being photographed, but Shawna’s warm, friendly, and down-to-earth nature instantly put us both at ease. She offered just the right amount of guidance to help us pose naturally while still keeping everything fun and relaxed.

Another thing we hugely appreciated was Shawna’s flexibility — she broke our shoot into two separate sessions so we could have photos at both the proposal site (Cadini di Misurina) and a second, scenic location (Lago di Braies). It meant we didn’t feel rushed and were able to really enjoy each part of the experience.
