"Deciding to work with MJ and Connor at the Scotland Elopement Company was by far and away the best decision we could have made when it came time to say our “I Do’s”. From day one they were efficient, responsive and thorough with their communication throughout, facilitated by multiple calls, video chats and emails. They offered a comprehensive and detailed elopement handbook that set expectations, offered multiple options, and included incredibly detailed resources to help us plan out our elopement. They make you feel immediately at ease, like we are just a group of friends planning our special day despite navigating our communication through a 5-hour time difference.

MJ’s photos perfectly captured our vision for the day. It felt more like art than simply posing for standard wedding pictures. Though the Scotland weather was cold and wet they kept us smiling throughout, offering their unique off-road vehicle for a private and cozy picnic and carrying us to a variety of jaw-dropping locations. Friends and family frequently comment about how amazing and beautiful MJ’s pictures are.

Connor’s ceremony was intimate, authentic, and personalized just for us. They both took the time to get to know us and our story and tailored our day to match our vision. We were able to keep parts of our ceremony private but were also able to share other moments with our friends and family that were present.

We are eternally grateful for how they made our trip to Scotland the most memorable experience we’ve ever had and something we will remember for the rest of our lives."

"Couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding day. Scotland Elopement Co helped us plan our day and were phenomenal to work with. Coming from the US, we had no idea where to start. We just knew we wanted to elope in Scotland. From our initial Zoom call, Grayson and I felt the instant connection with Conor and MJ. They provided many options of things to incorporate in our ceremony and beautiful spots to hold the ceremony. We ultimately decided Edinburgh would be the perfect place. MJ and Conor gave us a great list of options for the reception diner, recommendations for hair and makeup, and even where to stay while we were there. They helped coordinate our itinerary and did not make us feel rushed at all throughout the day. Conor planned a beautiful ceremony. He incorporated parts of our story together. How we met, things we like to do together, and to our new beginning.

MJ has such an amazing eye for photography. Our wedding photos turned out amazing and will be cherished for many years 🩷

“We can’t say enough wonderful things about MJ and Conor! The entire experience working with them was truly exceptional from start to finish.
From the moment we first met with them to begin planning, they were unbelievably thoughtful, kind, and supportive every step of the way. MJ was endlessly patient with our indecisiveness when it came to choosing a location; she suggested Steall Falls, which we were a bit on the fence about at first, but it turned out to be beyond magical and even more breathtaking than we could have imagined.

“Our experience with MJ & Conor was absolutely flawless. From the very beginning, they were warm and welcoming. I never hesitated to ask them any questions, and they were always so quick to give an answer. They made the entire process so simple and straightforward. I was never once worried or stressed about my wedding day during the planning process. The resources they provided made the trip so easy to plan. 

When wedding day came, they never once made us feel like we were on a clock. I never even knew what time it was the whole day! They made us feel so special the entire day. I was able to focus entirely on the beauty that we were surrounded by, and marrying my best friend. After wedding day, they were so great to communicate with us about when to expect our photos. We got our gallery delivered right as we made it home from our honeymoon! We ADORE our photos. “WOWOWOW! I cannot recommend working with MJ and Conor enough! As a queer couple, working with MJ and Conor, who understand nonbinary pronouns and who aim to celebrate all forms of love, was exactly what we needed! The entire process was fabulous and stress free, and left us with heartfelt memories and amazing photographs that will last a lifetime. I've had multiple people say that these are the best wedding photos they have ever seen! Everything had so much thought and care put into it, from the custom ceremony elements (cocktail in a quaich, handfasting, including a D&D ceremony spell, etc), to the speeches about our love story, to our wild picnic with our favourite foods, to the photography locations, to the recommendations for the rest of our trip! Another highlight for our experience was just getting to hang out with MJ and Conor throughout the day - we felt like old friends and were completely put at ease throughout the ceremony and photography!

“My husband and I just had the most exhilarating, beyond beautiful wedding we could have ever asked for! It was all thanks to MJ and Conor at Scotland Elopement Co. During the wedding planning, it felt like everything in our area was the same, rehashed, overly expensive, and traditional wedding service that most people seek out. Most venues alone in my area are roughly $8k-$10k. On top of the rental, catering, and cake prices... It all just seemed too much. We then discussed the honeymoon and what the plan would be for that. Considering a lot of our money would be spent on a wedding in my home town, we wouldn't get much of a honeymoon. So I figured why not have our wedding and honeymoon in one go!? We were indecisive on where to hold our ceremony, but finally landed on Scotland because I'm a huge Potter Head! It was then that my husband, with his great googling skills, found MJ and Conor's website! We eloped in the states and soon made our way to Scotland! More than just a photographer and wedding planners, these two were full on ready to plan our itinerary for the trip! MJ and Conor were truly a blessing to us! They were in constant communication with us. Extremely patient when I needed extra time to think over decisions. Super helpful when it came to making payments! They also reassured every fear/anxious feeling I had about traveling over seas for the first time! From taking care of the florals and cake, to driving us to our ceremony destination, to even recommending us accommodations and restaurants to try! I do not think I would have ever planned a better wedding for ourselves. I'm literally crying writing this because MJ and Conor are such beautiful and wonderful people! We planned everything through emails, Zoom calls, and texts. When we finally met in person it felt like we were celebrating the day with lifelong friends.
