We cant say enough good things about Madeline! We planned an elopement in Palm Springs - a city we’d never been to before and she helped us plan the most perfect day. From the start, she was professional, kind and has the type of personality where you feel instantly comfortable and confident, even if you’re camera shy. She drove us around to each shooting location and brought water, snacks, and fans. She’s the hype girl you need and she delivers the most beautiful photos that bring you right back to the feelings of that day. We looked through LOTS of photography options and I promise you will absolutely not regret booking with Madeline.

Maddie is an incredible photographer with a gift for making you look and feel so good! I had too much fun at our welcome reception the night before, and as a result, I was hungover on my wedding day and not feeling cute, but she turned that around for me, and I am forever grateful for her energy and skill.

Additionally, we had engagement photos done with her back in Dec 2024 and loved them. It was a fantastic way to warm-up to having professional photos done, as well as get to know each other.

Fast forward to our wedding day in Oct. 2025 - we had a fun time and I almost cried when it was time for her to leave, I feel like we reallllllyyyyy connected. I was really happy to see her taking photos of my baby girl, Piggy (a pug). I'm posting a few of the "sneak peak" photos to this review. I don't need to wait for the full gallery to know that she will deliver as promised.

Our engagement season & wedding day would not have been nearly as joyful and celebratory without Madeline Barr! We met during our engagement session where we learned that her warmth, creativity, and sheer fun-ness radiates from her and translates to the warmth and beauty of her photographs. We were stunned by how comfortable we were with her behind the camera, and happily used her photos on our invites, wedding website, photo guest book, and printed and framed as wedding decor. During the day of the wedding, she worked seamlessly with a second photographer she coordinated to help cover the day, and was able to find beautiful vignettes for us to take portraits together while also balancing taking photos of all the key moments. She wrangled our family members graciously for group photos, which is no easy task for our big families! She knows how to capture the beautiful little moments and the feelings of the day. From the sneak peek we received the next day, we could not be more thrilled with how the photos turned out. We will recommend Madeline to all couples in the SoCal area (or further away -- she travels!) and cannot wait to book more sessions with her in the future. Thank you, Madeline! We chose to have Maddie as our wedding and engagement photographer, and my goodness, the photos do not disappoint. During the phone interview, we could tell she would be super chill to work with, which is a huge reason why we booked her. She answered all of my questions promptly. During the engagement session, she made us feel incredibly comfortable and guided our poses (now I know what to do with my hands). Maddie was our photographer for our engagement and wedding. Lucky enough for us we met her through a friend's wedding and we are so grateful we did. She is so much fun to be around and hypes you up the whole time. A huge bonus for us was her experience posing same sex couples. I mean who wants to look like you're on a prom date with your soon to be spouse? Not only did we get beautiful engagement photos and wedding photos, we also got family photos with our little fur babies. These family photos are especially cherished since one of our fur babies passed shortly after. Thank you Maddie for your ability to catch memories that'll last a life time ❤️

I am so glad we found Maddie for our wedding. She was such good fun but so professional at the same time. She notices all the fine details that your average Joe wouldn’t and that’s what makes her photos so amazing! So happy with her advice (several times) pre-wedding, such great service on the day and such a fun person to have around. The day after our wedding we also went out to the desert. She knew exactly what time of day to go for lighting, what to do, where to go, what poses etc - always asked our opinion first but I’m so glad we went with her advice and experience, she definitely knows best. So not only do we have seriously beautiful photos from her but her presence was part of the nice memory too!

We couldn't be more grateful to have Maddie as our wedding photographer! I stumbled upon her portfolio after going through many (believe me when I say "many") photographers' websites, and fell in love with her pictures immediately: The dreamy lighting, the details and angles she had her eyes on and the overall taste of tones and editing, etc. We have already decided she will be the one even before we called her. Her pictures speak the volume!

We fell in love even more with her after our phone call though. Her bubbling personality and enthusiasm clicked with us right away. Neither of us has ever taken any professional pictures. Through Maddie’s guidance and encouragement, we had so much fun at our engagement photo session. I have to say all our guests at the wedding loved her as well!

On our wedding day, I was pretty upset about the gloomy weather as I was so looking forward to some great sunset shots. However, Maddie turned even the gloomiest day into magic. I was so stocked with our wedding pictures, and all the incredible moments captured from that special day! We’re so happy that we chose Maddie!
