I’m a digital + film wedding photographer specializing in documentary style storytelling. I am based in North Carolina, but travel frequently for weddings. I have a fine arts degree and a background in art direction which strengthens my eye for thoughtful composition and editing, and has made me a master of quick artistic decision making in a setting with multiple variables, such as a wedding day.
Working with meTechnical skills aside, my biggest strength as a photographer is my empathy, my ability to read the room, and my calm demeanor that puts people at ease. Intentional steps throughout my process create a safe space for my clients to be themselves, and authenticity transcends images that are a true reflection of my clients’ personalities and relationships.
It is not lost on me that in choosing me as your photographer, you are allowing me to bear witness to an extremely intimate, emotional, and often pivotal time. It’s an honor to be trusted with capturing the day exactly as you felt it.
The AestheticMy photography aesthetic is editorial and photojournalistic, and I love the candid nature of documentary style photography. In working together, I will guide you to spaces with a beautiful setting and lovely natural light, and will do minimal posing.
I obsess over editing my photos using true-to-life tones that mirror film photography to create imagery that is timeless and tasteful, and can be printed to display in your home.
