My husband and I are fairly experienced travelers and part time photographers. Believe me when I tell you that I combed the internet to find the perfect photographer for our dream elopement in Moab. I immediately fell in love with Katie’s photography, but the experience she offers is so much more. She helped us plan every step of the way and navigate our itinerary, the land, every detail, and logistics I simply would have stressed over or completely overlooked. This girl is down for ANYTHING! My husband and I joke that we want to get married every year just so that we can hang out with Katie again!

We opted for a 2 day elopement and I am SO happy we did. We rode horses at sunrise, adventured through Arches National Park for portraits, had our ceremony in the perfect spot at Dead Horse State Park, off roading for sunset photos in Canyonlands, and finished with cake, nachos, pool and karaoke at the coolest western dive bar in town with family. With Katie’s diligent planning, experience, and navigation, everything was seamless, there was so much fun, laughter, and awe, we wanted to hang on to every second of it.

Please, do yourself a favor and book Katie as your elopement photographer!!! Choosing her for our day was one of the best decisions we made for our entire day. We live in North Carolina but wanted to choose a location in Oregon or Washington. While this could have been a stressful experience, Katie made it so smooth. She gave us a great list of possible locations based on what we were looking for, and ended up helping us pick the PERFECT location after several discussions about all of the options. Our ceremony site was incredible. We were looking for something on the beach that highlighted the beautiful PNW coast, but was also was easily accessible for our guests and private. Katie had a suggestion that fit all of our criteria and ended up being so beautiful, quiet, and had the exact kind of coastal backdrop we were looking for.

She also provided us with her "How to Elope" guide which was full of helpful tips and things we hadn't even thought to consider. She also gave us vendor recommendations, and the florist we worked with from her suggestions was incredible. Katie kept in contact with us the entire way, and was always so positive and had the best attitude to get us excited for our elopement. She listened to all of the things we wanted to incorporate into our day and planned an awesome timeline that made great use of our day.

On the day of our elopement near Cannon Beach, Katie arrived early and was ready to go. We were very impressed with the way she was able to stay organized and keep everyone on the same page about what we were doing next. Our guests raved about Katie's organization and ability to stay on top of everything that was going on. She also made the family photo process after the ceremony super efficient and allowed us to get many different photo combinations with different family members easily. She made the decision to slightly alter our timeline on the fly due to the weather, and because of her foresight into the weather and best shooting conditions, we got some incredible photos! I'm so glad that she was paying such close attention to the weather and lighting. Because of her familiarity and knowledge of the Cannon Beach area, she suggested two very different and beautiful spots for our portraits which gave us a great variety in our photos. Portraits never felt forced. Katie gave us some gentle direction, but it never felt like we were overly posed or being asked to do anything that didn't feel like us.

After our day, Katie got us sneak peek pictures just a few days after our wedding, and our entire gallery in under a month! Our photos are incredible-Katie captured us and our personalities perfectly. I'm so glad that we will have these photos to show our families, friends, and future children. We could not have made a better choice with using Katie as our photographer. I'd choose Katie again and again- I would LOVE to do an adventure session with her if we are ever in the PNW again. I wish I could convince everyone I know to elope so that they could use Katie!

Katie is an absolute gem! She made my husband and I’s elopement dreams come true. We were so worried about having the least amount of stress possible, and with loads of communication from her about the day our worries were washed away. We ended up having a last minute location change, and Katie notified us as soon as possible, while offering other suggestions to make our pictures perfect. She knew all the locations around the pnw so we had loads of options. She’s kind, caring, and also wasn’t afraid to get down and dirty with us (literally, waterfalls are so muddy) which showed us how all in she was to make the photos perfect. I own a photography lab and have seen thousands of photos from hundreds of weddings come through my door. I’ve printed the good, the bad, and the ugly, and I knew when it came to my wedding day, my expectations would be through the roof. To say that Katie exceeded my expectations is an understatement.

Katie creates a relaxing experience from the initial Zoom call, explaining the entire process clearly. When my husband and I decided to elope in Moab, Utah, I felt overwhelmed with location planning for our special day. Katie provided invaluable assistance by suggesting ideal spots, providing vendor recommendations, and helping us finalize our timeline. She responded promptly to emails, and after several Zoom meetings, my anxieties completely disappeared.

On the day of our elopement, Katie was the calming presence I didn't know I needed. My husband and I are both a little camera shy, but she made us feel very comfortable in our own skin. She has a light-hearted and easy-going demeanor that makes you feel instantly relaxed around her. Overall, we had an excellent experience with her.

Our sneak peek arrived within a week, and the complete gallery followed a month later! Our elopement photos are truly BREATHTAKING, as you'll soon see. I have so many favorites, it was almost impossible to narrow them down for this post. I chose ones that I think demonstrate both her incredible eye for detail and a true mastery of capturing breathtaking, "wow factor" moments. Being a bride during Covid times was not ideal but I am SO thankful we had Katie by our side. Our plans changed 2 weeks before we were supposed to get married when we decided to forgo our planned wedding and elope instead. Katie was not only understanding and accommodating but enormously helpful in the planning in a way that I would never have expected a photographer to be. She went from someone who was not just capturing our day but also planning the timeline, helping us pick a location, doing the site visit the day before and most importantly: making us laugh along the way! We don’t often find ourselves in front of a camera and were a little worried that it would be awkward, feel forced or not really reflect us. As soon as we met Katie for our engagement photos she made us feel extremely comfortable and did an amazing job capturing us in a way that felt very authentic and natural. When it came to our elopement, she helped us slow down and think about what our ideal day would include and how we wanted it to feel. Her advice helped us connect and experience our day together in a way that felt relaxed, truly meaningful and most importantly – fun! And not only is she a ton of fun but also extremely professional. The communication was amazing. From day one Katie was so responsive – there was not one email that went unanswered. She gave so much helpful information from what to wear for the elopement shoot to how to pose. And when she says she is up for adventure she means it. She braved the elements with us – our engagement shoot was in the middle of a down pour at the Oregon coast and the elopement brought a windstorm and climbing enormous sand dunes – and still, we were all laughing together! All of that to say, she was the best investment and I will always be grateful for all that she did to make our last-minute elopement so special and for the images we will be able to cherish forever. We feel so blessed to know Katie and can’t wait to have excuses to take more photos with her :)

Katie is absolutely INCREDIBLE! She made Ian and I feel so comfortable right from the start and she captured the best of us and our love. She made our engagement photo shoot SO fun and our wedding photos are stunning! We had the pleasure of working with Katie for some special elopement photos in Lake Powell! We just received them and are over the moon! Even my husband is critical of how he looks in photos and commented how *magical* they were! I usually have my favorite few pics after other shoots we’ve done in the past, but I can’t even choose with these because they’re all so good!
