Words alone could not express how much Julie made “Our Day” into the most magical experience we’ve ever had (so far). My wife and I were LOST and overwhelmed at where to even start with planning, where, and how, but Julie immediately put us at ease.

She got in our heads (in the best way!) , found the absolute PERFECT spots off the grid, and made everything so US in so many ways. Never could I have imagined a more meaningful, authentic, and magical elopement. Julie is an amazing artist and a master in her craft. After our first conversation with her, me and my (now) husband knew she was the best person for our elopement. We threw some crazy ideas at her from wanting a private mountain lake, to being married at a fire lookout tower. She managed to bring our ideas to life and made them even better. It rained on us all day but she kept a great attitude and uplifted our spirits, despite the weather. We are so grateful we picked Julie! We got preview photos just 3 days after our wedding. We are stoked with the results of high quality photos and the effort she puts into her work. Thank you Julie!

To call Julie just an elopement photographer does not do her justice. She does so much more than simply take photographs. Julie helped us build a day we will never forget, one where we could actually be present with one another and just be ourselves. Julie immediately impressed us with the level of due diligence she brought to creating our ideal adventure elopement. Julie got to know us, asking about our hobbies and interests and what we hoped to see and do for our special day. She placed calls to vendors, scouted out locations, and responded attentively to our questions. Julie’s vast knowledge of the western national park system and insight into the most romantic (and underappreciated) scenery played an outsized role in where we decided to say our vows. When she presented us with a detailed write-up and photos of possible elopement spots for us to choose from, we could tell she had indeed listened to our needs and wants and found some remarkable landscapes for us to say, “I do.”

Julie spent the day before our adventure elopement scouting out the location to confirm there wouldn’t be any last-minute surprises (like road or trail closures). That level of commitment to ensuring the least amount of stress on our big day was such a relief! Julie was so personable and down to earth that by the time she started taking photos at 5:30 AM the next day, she had already felt like a trusted friend. As for the day itself, well, it was about as perfect as we could have ever dreamed. We are so delighted and grateful by how breathtaking Julie’s photos turned out. My wife and I had warned her we were not the most photogenic couple, yet Julie’s artistic eye and ability to capture and create such truly genuine and intimate moments really shined through in her work. And that’s what you get when you hire Julie—not just a great photographer, but also an enthusiastic planner, a seasoned guide, and a good friend.
