then i'm your gal! ABOUT ME

I’m a prepared-spontaneous kind of gal. I’m a planned-adventure kind of bitch, if you will. We’re talking hiking spreadsheets and pins on Google Maps. A car with a full gas tank and an extra set of socks under the seat. Being a chronic over-thinker means I’m always organizing details, and being Washington-raised means I know this place as well as my backyard - ‘cause it is!

Allison was so fun to work with because she completely took the stress out of planning our elopement trip, from the location and activities to managing the timeline on the day.

I’ve told others that I would consider Allison not just a photographer but an elopement planner, we had way more support than we anticipated with the planning process and Allison’s communication was clear and detailed, and she helped us create the perfect day to celebrate our love!

A couple of days before the elopement, I came down with a severe flu like illness, and with our Airbnb being nonrefundable, we pushed through and hoped for the best. It truly would not have been possible without Allison’s planning and support.

I was barely functioning, my partner was just starting to feel sick, and yet because Allison did extensive research and scouting to find the most beautiful locations, supported my partner with things on my to do I didn’t have energy for (like steaming my dress), and adjusted the schedule in real-time to make sure we prioritized what was most important for us, I was able to take a back seat and actually relax and enjoy the day. I only later found out when the dock was covered with geese poop the next morning that the reason it was clean when we had our ceremony was because Allison had already gotten down there and cleaned it while I was getting ready and my partner was making my breakfast. Another example, as I was getting ready my foundation felt splotchy and I was starting to stress (thanks sickness dehydration) and Allison brought me outside to get a shot of my foundation in the sun to make sure it looked okay so I could move on and finish my makeup instead of worrying about my foundation.

I was debating only working with Allison for a half day instead of the full day, but in hindsight I’m so glad we opted for the full day because it allowed me to start the day calm and not rushed to try to fit everything in all at once (and Allison’s encouragement and support during the getting ready process was so appreciated).

Despite me having to blow my nose between shots and mouth breathing, the photos turned out absolutely incredible. Allison captured the beauty and awe of Olympic National Park so perfectly, along with so many meaningful in between moments that we will treasure forever.

I would and have highly recommend Allison to my friends and family not only because of her gorgeous images and her ability to capture emotion so naturally, but because if, knock on wood, something goes wrong on your elopement day, having Allison’s calm, capable support means it truly will not be bad after all, and you’ll still be able to enjoy the magic of your elopement day.

My husband and I got married earlier this year on February 6th and we hired Allison on one of her elopement packages as our photographer! We cannot recommend her enough. My husband and I had planned to get married later this year/early next year, but moved our timeline up quite a bit for family reasons, and as a result, we (myself, my husband, and my mother) only had about 5 weeks to plan our micro-wedding. Before we met with Allison, this felt like an impossible task. I had a number of restrictions and non-negotiables (~30 people when most pre-made micro-wedding packages would allow for a max of 20, an indoor venue with comfortable seating for guests with chronic pain, lots of dietary restrictions between me and my husband, etc) with a smaller budget to stick to. We had made a few plans prior to meeting with her, but it felt like nothing was working. Meeting with Allison was a huge game changer; she immediately had ideas for where and how to look for a venue that met my requirements and brought a lot of ideas and notes to me that I hadn't previously considered about making our wedding truly personalized to us. We were only able to find our ceremony and reception venues thanks to her advice! She also helped us make a timeline for the day, which was INCREDIBLY helpful given I have no concept of time lol. On the day of, she helped us stick to the plan and stay on schedule, and my mom told me later how at ease she felt knowing there was someone she could go to if she had concerns about the flow of the event. It was also incredibly helpful to me to know there was someone I could go to instead of having to keep the event together myself; I was truly able to enjoy my wedding because she was there! And MY GOD the photos are just absolutely perfect. My husband and I are OBSESSED and can't wait to order some!

For anyone considering Allison, my notes would be as follows: Allison is NOT a wedding planner (or at least that's not the role she played in my wedding, though I'm sure she'd be fantastic at that as well). My husband, my mother, and I still planned the wedding details and chose the venues and all that. Allison was, however, a vital sounding board for us to make sure our planning was airtight and exactly what we wanted. She has amazing ideas on how to personalize a wedding/elopement to exactly what YOU want instead of just following tradition because it's familiar. There were moments we also doubted leading up to the wedding, as we were planning the whole thing ourselves and wondered "is she worth it?" But having someone who's an amazing photographer, a bit of a day-of coordinator and brainstormer, AND the wedding officiant simplified our whole day. When my mom and I debriefed after the wedding, we both agreed that we can't recommend her highly enough. You also don't have to have an outdoor elopement, though I'm sure those are magical! My husband and I had a lot of reasons we needed an indoor event, and she still knocked it out of the park.

Thank you so much to Allison for helping us make the wedding of our dreams!

We couldn’t have been happier to have found Allison. I was worried we would feel awkward during the session but not only were we comfortable, it was also FUN! The pictures turned out so pretty everybody that’s seen them LOVES them. My fiancé was kind of hesitant about having pictures taken and the pictures we got turned out to be his favorite part of the day.

Allison was fantastic to work with. We reached out to Allison in hopes she could squeeze us in the following week after our engagement and to our luck she could. She was very communicative, provided professional online location guides, and even links to blogs on how to pick outfits.

During the shoot everything felt natural, so natural that I forgot we were taking photos, I was just enjoying time with my fiance. Allison did give us position guidance as needed and captured incredible shots.

She turned around the photos quickly and I LOVE how they turned out, the lighting, editing, everything was perfect. When I look at the photos I cant help but smile, the photos remind me of our love story and I feel like I’m melting with warmth and joy looking at them. I couldn’t recommend Allison enough, her work was incredible.
