This forested elopement prioritizes laid back vibes, a dreamy PNW setting, and flexibility that allows you to stay present and relaxed through your whole day.
You’ll begin your day with some quiet getting ready moments at your lodging in Portland. Think brunch snacks out, close friends helping you don your attire, and a slow start to help you stay in the moment and ease into the excitement of the day.
Once you’re both ready, you’ll head out to the main destination for the day: Hoyt Arboretum. If you’ve opted for a first look pre-ceremony, we’ll find a quiet nook for you two to share that moment together before the rest of your loved ones arrive. You’ll take some time for just the two of you, reminiscing on what led you here, and dreaming about all that’s to come.
After you’ve had this moment to yourselves, and once your guests have all arrived, it’s time for your ceremony! All your closest people will gather around you, as you exchange vows and commit to sharing your lives with each other.
Next, your guests will transition to another part of the park to get settled for dinner and festivities, while you two take some time for just the two of you. You’ll take a meandering path through the forest, stopping along the way for portraits and to cuddle with each other under towering trees. This is where you get to focus on each other and absorb the fact that you just got married!
Soon, you’ll arrive at the reception area where all your guests are waiting. You’ll dive into some delicious food catered by a local food truck or restaurant. Your guests will share speeches and kind words. And you’ll share a first dance as the light starts to fade.
Near the end of the night, you’ll all gather around to play some fun group games. Hilarity and raucous laughter will ensue, and once you’re ready, your loved ones will gather around you once more, joyously sending you off into the rest of your lives together.
