Wedded in White: An Intimate Snowshoe Elopement at Artist Point $7,200

Wedded in White: An Intimate Snowshoe Elopement at Artist Point

  • Mountains

Imagine waking up in a quiet mountain cabin with snow gently falling outside and the fire slowly warming the room. The day doesn’t begin with a rush. It begins with intention. You move slowly, sharing coffee, packing layers, helping each other get into gear. We’ll be there to document the softness of these early moments, capturing the anticipation and the steady calm before your adventure begins.

Once you’re ready, we head up Mt. Baker Highway toward Heather Meadows. This is where the journey starts. With snowshoes on and your packs full, we begin the steady climb toward Artist Point. The route winds through alpine trees and open snowfields, quiet except for the sound of your steps through fresh powder.

We’ll pause along the way to catch breath, take in the views, and photograph the beauty of your movement through this snowy wilderness. Shuksan comes into view on your left. Baker rises ahead. The pace is comfortable and the goal is simple. Take your time and experience the day together.

At the top, the landscape opens wide. You’ll exchange your vows here, surrounded by sweeping mountain views and absolute stillness. No distractions. No noise. Just the two of you standing in a snow-covered world with your words carried on the wind.

After your ceremony, the adventure continues. There is no rush. We’ll explore the ridge together, capturing portraits as the sun dips low and golden light spills across the snow. Maybe you pop a bottle of champagne or wrap up in a blanket for a quiet moment above the clouds. The light shifts, the colors deepen, and we keep shooting through blue hour as the mood softens.

As night settles in, the stars begin to appear. This is when we bring out the headlamps and photograph long exposures of you beneath the sky. These images are quiet, surreal, and full of wonder. You can lie back in the snow and watch the constellations move or simply hold each other while the cold air sparkles around you.

When you’re ready, we begin the hike down by starlight. Or, if you’ve chosen to stay overnight, we document the cozy ending to your day. Warm drinks in hand. Lanterns flickering. The sound of the wind outside your tent while you settle in for your first night together under the stars.
