You’re ready for the Oregon that most people don’t get to experience. The part of Oregon with few crowds, epic views, and even more opportunities for adventure.
Start your day by getting ready in playa-side lodgings with your elopement specialist HMUA. Spend sunrise watching the sun peek over the saddle across the playa while listening to coyotes howl in the distance, and wild mustang herds whinny. After a quick breakfast, head out with your vehicle onto the playa. Let’s see how far we can drive before we hit the other side! Spend a few minutes selecting your perfect ceremony spot for later. Experience the feel of driving on a surface with no road lines. 25mph feels like 50!
Lunch break! I hope you’re ready for the best burger and bottomless milkshake in Oregon. We’ll head 30 minutes south, nearly to the Nevada border, to a restaurant that people travel to from Portland in a day, just to eat their burger.
It’s back to your glamping lodgings to get ready for your ceremony. Spend time in the quiet, alien landscape to center yourself and connect with your partner. Head to your ceremony location, with no one in sight for miles (yes, you can see that far in any direction).
After your ceremony, it’s a blue-hour hot springs soak at the base of the glacial-carved mountains as the stars appear in the sky above you. End the day by stargazing out on the playa and capturing the night sky in your images, with your silhouettes lit up by handheld hurricane lanterns.
Day 2, we’re heading to the summit of those mountains that have been guarding you in the west. See the playa from above, then hike down to a lake frequented by wild mustangs. See where glaciers have carved their way through this mountain range, and have an opportunity to wear your wedding attire in a totally different backdrop.
