This two-day adventure is designed for couples who want to experience Yosemite at a slower pace, savoring its most iconic vistas and quieter corners without feeling rushed. With twelve hours of coverage split across two days, you’ll have time to soak in the park’s beauty from sunrise to sunset, hike among ancient sequoias, and even float the Merced River together. It’s the perfect way to turn your wedding into an experience that feels as unforgettable as the place itself.
Day One: Sunrise to Sunset
Your first day begins at sunrise high above the valley floor at Glacier Point, where the morning light spills over Half Dome and the Sierra peaks. With the stillness of dawn all around you, this is where you’ll exchange vows—intimate, quiet, and framed by sweeping mountain views.
From there, we’ll descend into Yosemite Valley, stopping first at Tunnel View. This world-famous overlook reveals the valley in one breathtaking panorama: El Capitan, Bridalveil Fall, and Half Dome all in one frame. Upon arrival, we’ll take a short hike to reach away a hidden vantage point just above, offering the same epic views without the crowds.
Next, we’ll make our way down to Cathedral Beach, where you’ll spread out a picnic along the Merced River beneath the towering granite walls of El Capitan. You can dip your feet in the cool water, share local treats, and take in the peaceful surroundings. A walk through Cook’s Meadow follows. Along the iconic boardwalk, you’ll see Yosemite Falls and Half Dome from a whole different perspective as they surround you in this golden field of tall grass.
In the middle of the day, you’ll take a break to rest or explore on your own. Then, as evening approaches, we’ll meet again for the finale: a sunset hike to Taft Point. The forested trail leads to dramatic cliffs overlooking Yosemite Valley. Here, you’ll sip champagne and watch the sky shift into oranges, pinks, and purples, ending the day on the edge of the world.
Day Two: Giants & River Reflections
The following morning, we’ll meet at Tuolumne Grove, where a hike takes us into a stand of ancient sequoias. You’ll walk among these giants—some of the oldest living beings on earth—and pass through a hollowed-out tree tunnel for portraits that showcase both your love and the sheer scale of the forest.
By midday, we’ll return to the valley floor for something playful and refreshing: a float down the Merced River in tubes. Drifting past meadows and beneath bridges, you’ll laugh, relax, and cool off in the crisp mountain water. Tubes can be rented in the park or brought along—it’s an easygoing way to end your Yosemite adventure with pure joy.
