Sunset, Stars, and Solitude – Tobacco Root Mountains

This one is for the adventurous night owls who love a leisurely hike, golden hour magic, and star-filled skies after dark. Deep in the Tobacco Root mountains of Montana, you spend your afternoon at your campsite getting ready for your evening wedding day hike. With packs on and boots laced, you walk through forests, fields, and wildflowers up to a ridgeline with spectacular 360 views of mountain peaks, wildflowers galore, and lakes down below.

With no one else around, you find a spot upon a rock with dramatic vistas to say your private vows to one another. The sun slowly starts to dip behind the horizon as you share your first kiss and watch the sky turn from orange and red to muted blues and purples. A picnic dinner during blue hour and lantern light, sharing the warm beverages you brought up in a thermos, while you wait for the sky to darken and for the real show to begin.

As you lay back under a blanket, you each point out planets, constellations, and shooting stars as you make your first wishes as a married couple. The moon starts to rise, illuminating the trail back down to your campsite.
