This adventurous elopement takes you to one of the most stunning locations in Oregon: Crater Lake National Park. You’ll exchange vows against the backdrop of one of the world’s most magnificent and iconic volcanic calderas, forming unforgettable memories in this truly mesmerizing place.
You’ll start the day at some cozy lodging in nearby Medford, or perhaps right on site at the gorgeous Crater Lake Lodge. You and your partner can get ready separately, with loved ones helping you both prepare for the magical day ahead. You’ll enjoy warm drinks and tasty pastries, along with a relaxed schedule that allows you to stay present and not feel rushed heading into your adventure.
Once you’re both ready, you’ll stagger your departures to ensure you arrive at the lake separately. Once there, we’ll all meet up at a beautiful viewpoint for your first look. I’ll help whoever arrives first get into position, and then once the other person arrives, you two will share an intimate, sweet moment, excitedly greeting each other in your wedding attire for the first time. You’ll take a few moments to marvel at each other and then the landscape around you; you’ll cuddle against the wind and just enjoy being here, together.
Then, it’s time for your ceremony! Your loved ones will gather around you as you exchange vows, and everyone will share tears and laughter as you make promises for your life together.
After your ceremony with loved ones, we’ll take a little snack break. We’ll head inside for warm drinks and other celebratory beverages. You’ll share a toast with everyone, and then you’ll sign your marriage license to make it official – you’re married! For a few more moments inside, you and your love will take some quiet moments to yourselves before heading back out for the final adventure of the day…
You’ll grab some lanterns, warm layers, and your private vows. We’ll wander along the Rim Trail, admiring the various viewpoints and how the light plays off the water and surrounding trees. Soon, you’ll find a spot that feels like “the one”; there, you’ll settle in and cozy up to one another. When you’re ready, you’ll take turns sharing vows meant only for each other’s ears. The wind may whip around you, and the sun may start to set, but your focus will be solely on each other, sharing your hopes and dreams for the future you’re building together.
After you’ve taken all the time you need to share your private vows, you’ll kiss and head out for the rest of your adventure! We’ll wander through more forest, and slowly make our way back to where we started. Along the way, if we get lucky, the sky may light up in brilliant colors that fill you with joy and seem almost surreal in their vibrancy. As you wrap up this most magical of days, it’ll be as if the lake and all your surroundings are celebrating with you, wishing you “Congratulations!” and bidding you farewell with the most beautiful send-off, into the rest of your lives together.
