Your Joshua Tree elopement begins at a campground in the park or a rad Airbnb in the area. You get ready together and grab something to eat together. Think small desert cafés in Joshua Tree or Pioneertown depending on the flow of the day. Coffee, shade, and a breather before heading into the park.
Your ceremony takes place somewhere tucked into the park, where the wind is light and everything feels wide open. It’s simple, intentional, and focused on just the two of you with the desert holding space around you.
Afterwards, we’ll wander through iconic Joshua Tree textures. Massive boulders, winding dirt paths, and those sculptural desert trees that make every frame feel like a painting. This part is relaxed and exploratory, letting the landscape lead the way while we create honest, cinematic portraits along the way.
As the day moves toward sunset, we’ll head deeper into the open desert where the light turns gold and the sky starts to stretch wide. Whether it’s tucked between boulders or out near an open ridge, this final chapter is all about stillness and scale. Wind in your hair, warm tones everywhere, and the desert glowing as the sun goes down. I like to head to the highest point of the park for sunset, but there are endless magical locations to take it in.
It ends quietly. Just the two of you, the fading light, and a landscape that feels like it was always waiting for this moment.
