From there, we drive toward the trailhead, watching the terrain grow steeper and more dramatic as we enter the heart of the North Cascades. Packs on and boots laced, we start the hike along one of the most stunning alpine trails in the region. The landscape shifts as we climb. Dense forest gives way to open ridgelines, wildflowers, and sweeping views that stretch deep into Washington and across the border into Canada.
We move with intention, stopping often to photograph the experience as it unfolds. The trail itself becomes part of your story. Shared effort. Laughter. Quiet moments as the scale of the mountains begins to sink in.
At the top, the fire lookout comes into view. Perched high above the valleys, it offers uninterrupted 360-degree views of some of the most rugged and beautiful peaks the North Cascades have to offer. This is where you exchange your vows. Wind moving softly through the lookout windows. Mountains in every direction. Nothing else competing for your attention.
After your ceremony, we take time to explore the lookout and surrounding ridgelines as the light begins to soften. Golden hour wraps the peaks in warm tones before slowly giving way to cooler blues as the sun dips behind the mountains.
As evening settles in, lanterns come out and the world grows quiet again. We photograph these final moments as the sky deepens and stars begin to appear overhead. If conditions allow, we stay to create star photos that feel cinematic and surreal, capturing you beneath a sky filled with light, high above the rest of the world.
