Rivers + Roads – A Central Oregon Cozy Elopement

  • Forest
  • Rivers
  • Desert

A full day elopement in beautiful Bend, Oregon that gives you the best of both worlds: Celebrating with loved ones in a beautiful setting, and intentional time alone for you and your partner to be present with one another. You’ll enjoy cozy accommodations, a gorgeous and low key hike, and delicious food and drink with all your favorite people.

Your day will start in a beautiful cabin or lodge that you’ll share with your loved ones. You’ll get ready together, play board games, and generally take a slow, relaxed approach to your morning – allowing you to fully experience that beautiful, anticipatory energy in the hours before your ceremony.

Once you and your partner are ready, you’ll head outside to the beautiful property to share a first look. It’ll be the first time you see each other fully decked out in your wedding attire, and more importantly, it’ll be an opportunity for you two to have some quiet time together before the hubbub of it all. You can take as much or as little time as you want, crying together, laughing together, being together.

You’ll rejoin your loved ones, and everyone will migrate to your ceremony spot on the cabin property. While you and your partner freshen up, your family and friends will gather, creating a space to invite you both in for this important moment.

A family member will lead you in a sweet and moving ceremony, sharing memories and well wishes. You’ll exchange your public vows, and share any significant rituals or traditions. Soon, you’ll be proclaimed married! You’ll then make it legally official by signing your marriage license. You’re married!

Next, your loved ones will bid you a (temporary) farewell, seeing you off to the next part of your day: adventure!

You’ll take a short drive to a nearby trail along the Deschutes River. Once there, you’ll begin hiking the meandering trail, enjoying the scenery and sounds of nature around you.

At some point, you’ll find a spot that feels “just right”. Here, you’ll stop for a while to exchange private vows. Being so close to the river (and maybe a nearby waterfall!), you’ll be the only ones able to hear your words to one another. It’ll be a moment truly for just the two of you.

Once you’ve shared your vows, you’ll continue your hike, wandering across more forest, cliff sides, and open fields with views of the far off mountains. You’ll take lots of time to be present with each other, and as the sun starts to set, you’ll take just a few more moments for just the two of you before heading back to meet up with your loved ones again.

In town, you’ll find your family and friends at a local restaurant. You’ll share amazing food and drinks, make toasts, and celebrate! And at the end of the night, you’ll head back to your cabin. After everyone else has headed to bed, you and your partner will crack open a bottle of bubbly to share while relaxing the rest of the night away in a hot tub, nothing but the stars and trees around you.

Optional Notes & Customization

Central Oregon typically experiences snowy conditions during winter months, and some trails may become inaccessible during this time or require snow gear (e.g. snowshoes) for recreating. If you prefer drier/warmer weather, I recommend booking this package during late spring through fall (~late May through October).
